  1. Is the lever rod there that should move when you turn the key in the boot? Key does go in and turn does it?
  2. Is this now an 'items for sale' thread? I could be tempted with these but would these just drop straight in my late '94 car? I have heard oval connectors and side feed, all mumbo jumbo to me
  3. I am very pleased with it and a bonus is that I can now see the the top of my dash, my ektor wheel was a bit small, gonna go up for sale that one
  4. Nice job back at ya :thumbup1: Get some black polish on your seat there, plenty of food for the leather is the answer :balloon:
  5. That is exactly what I pointed out that it could be in your 'headlight problem' thread, have a look at post 8, I was spot on he says patting himself on the back. If only you would listen :tt2:
  6. I have bought an oem steering wheel for my series 4, it is the one with the SRS Airbag and two horn pushes. After trying the kitchen scourer and some paint stripper, nothing was removing the covering, so took some emery cloth to it and it blitzed it all off. I then rubbed it down with some finer sandpaper and I do wish I would of rubbed it a bit more in certain areas but it is done now. I then applied some black shoe dye, it dries quick so kept applying until I ran out of it. Black shoe polish now and after applying liberally and buffing up 3 times it came up very well  And here it is all fitted, I have applied some leather polish and I am sure over time and use it will come up even better and shinier
  7. Probably a fuse problem Graham :tt2: Daz take ur fuse box to bits and have a rummage, he he he!!!
  8. Top work that man - glad you have made progress!!!
  9. Oh dear after reading this thread look what I have done
  10. The best policy with something like this is just delete and forget about it, if it is something genuine they will contact you further. I had a paypal scam last week, wanting to confirm my details  I just deleted the email without opening, if they do want me for anything it will be there when I log in through the proper channels  I get rung up at work 'you have won a competition' they say, I just hang up without saying a word, I never entered any competition so how the hell can I have won one :confused1:
  11. Your car is Ice Silver isn't it - like mine? Let me edit my comment, seeing as yours is a 1991 and Ice Silver is from 1992 onwards then you could well be correct. See here http://www.xenonz32.com/colorchart.html
  12. 3 pics of the rear - non of the front? But I can picture what it looks like  A great colour for a zedster is Ice Silver :tt2:
  13. I have a 350mm diameter ektor steering wheel so I too cannot see the top of the clocks, it infuriates me  However, I have bought a stock correct series wheel (should be with me tomorrow) and may go back to that. Not sure taking out foam is your answer, seems a bit drastic
  14. Congratulations Alan on your birthday. My wife is just the same - very very thoughtful with things like that, enjoy your trip :cool3:
  15. My old one was just like that :glare: I have seen what Graham as quoted in some threads and it is too cheap in my opinion, there is a bit of work involved, well worth it though in the end as it is a top mod
  16. Originally this is Groover's baby so all credit goes to him  I sent my switch off to him and he blue illuminated it for me about 10 months ago  Off Marty I got a switch that was not worn on the switch, so better than I had so set about lighting it myself in red this time as my interior is either blue or red, Palace fan you see  So Graham, I opened up the chambers inside as much as I could get to and as much as I dared, used two strips, one either side, cut down to 3 smd's on each, I know you did it differently but my confidence in soldering is not good  I did Dr. Dremel'd it back as well to accomodate the strip thickness and also took some off the four sides of the console housing for it to slip in. I put some black tape around as well to cut down on light bleed, quite pleased with myself - I have learnt from the master
  17. Nice work  Forgot about those bulbs - I have them in the rear centre brake light :thumbup1:
  18. No - all that sleeping in his uncomfy sports vehicle
  19. I thought that Marie-Anne last night but did not like to worry you. My father in law who is 70 had chest pains and it did turn out that he too had had a heart attack, this was dec 29 just gone. He spent some time in hospital for 7 days having tests, he does need a heart bypass but this is relatively routine these days, of course though it does have risks. He awaits this operation sometime this month and in fact is looking forward to it, he has been on drugs ever since dec 29 and initially he did lose weight but having just seem him tonight he looks very well and as put on that weight again. He smoked a lot but overnight he stopped, with the operation there is no reason why he cannot live for another 15 years minimum. So my message is, Chris as had a warning, can now be checked out and put right, hope my news as eased your worrying somewhat
  20. He his in the right place for treatment for chest pains. I too of course, wish him all the best
  21. Just a pic to show, you will see I still have sidelights in my fog Everything on, it is all very white
  22. You would need a fast flasher relay off ebay from Hong Kong to cope with that, I have one for the amber led bulbs I am using
  23. What about having the indicator as the T10 amber wedge and re wire your current 21w indicator and use that as your sidelight? Indicators are only on occassionally :thumbup1: Just a thought :cool3:
  24. My 2nd spot ever. Do not think it is anyones on here but I will try. Traffic light red in colour, at 13.50 in Keighley, Yorkshire of course Look pretty stock, unfortunately did not get the year - I was going the other way
  25. Good old dremel - great tool  You can only use a T10 bulb though - will you find that bright enough
