Front headlights
Easy peasy, get the whole unit nice and warm at 100 degrees in the oven and just lever carefully and prise apart, the glass is quite robust. If they've been apart before even easier but it's not a difficult job :cool3:

Headlights fitted with Halo Angel Eyes and HID's.
When I did the headlights that are currently on the car some years back, I got from the far east some cheap H1's and they didn't last two minutes so I stick now with the Philips stock ones, yellow I know in comparison but very reliable as I don't want failure as they are difficult to get at  I will give it some thought and will probably scout round and get some, would be nice as they will match the halos and HID's :cool3:

Headlights fitted with Halo Angel Eyes and HID's.
I have six lenses in my garage and only one I cannot use and this must of been a very noticeable rock to do the damage it's done or perhaps someone levering :mad2: looking also at the ones on my car, these are in tip top condition also so will probably not be much of an issue at all :cool3:

Headlights fitted with Halo Angel Eyes and HID's.
Well I have done a similar thing with the rear lights so not out of the question, a part exchange system could work well but I need some goodies/stock on the shelf ready to fit into them and I am making arrangements with my far east contact to get me these at a favourable price. Hard work this modding...or is it that I spend a lot of time in my garage alone :winkiss:

Reading between the lines eh, my plan in time is really to whack some of these on ebay and see how they go, the HID's were £26.00 and in total the halos with extra inverter were £18.00, 2 packs of tamiya cogs are £8.00, add all this to the actual headlight cost and then my time, I have seen a seller in the USA sell them and they weren't cheap, I took every effort to make these perfect as my mind was set at the time they were going in mine :cool3:

Yeah bud I am very happy with everything about them and when I do some more I will not change a thing, the outer diameter is 85mm and internal 71mm, marine grade flexible clear silicone to bond them in. I have also heat taped the two wire supply to them in case they get warm from the HID's :cool3: Was going to fit them in mine but I have another set and also the set that is on my car so can convert any of these at a later date. On another note, I have acquired a set of door handles and had a play with lighting up the key hole so that is next

99 Spec Rear lights..confused
Sounds like you're going to give it a go Murdock :cool3: One thing Vods as forgot to add but you would soon realise, the stock red lense as a hole in it and this is for the reflector screw thread, so a replacement clear diffuser will need this hole also.

Headlights fitted with Halo Angel Eyes and HID's.
Well I've moved on now and got a few sets of headlights over the last few weeks and have made these on the bench initially with a view to fit in my own car :cool3:. Pictures didn't seem to work so well so I made a small vid. Done everything to these which includes a thorough cleaning, fitting of the Tamiya adjusting cogs, chroming the inserts, halo sidelights and then HID 6000k 55w dipped lights with slim ballasts. Kept the 55w Phillips Halogen H1's in the main beam. Hope you all like :thumbup1:
