  1. More to the point, how can anyone believe that an Apple Mac could ever do anything useful?
  2. What experiment is it? A new way of "chroming" the headlights?
  3. It's not my fault if you lot conspire to have meets when I'm out shooting ;)
  4. :ttiwwop: Let's see the "before" then!
  5. Are you just trying to make me bring my RED Z to show you how slow white really is? ;) :D
  6. ROFL! B@st@rd.
  7. Lots of Junior swimming medals and trophies (competitions and survival badges). 1987 Best Keyboard* Section - National Marching Band Championship held at the Royal Albert Hall (where I got to play a solo (aged 15)) 2002/3 Gloucestershire Archery Society Indoor Recurve County Champion (2 years running) *keyboards = marimbas and glockenspiels
  8. Wow! He got the invisible paint mod.
  9. Purple and silver were the millenium colours, weren't they? I seem to remember purple books with a silver edge when I was at primary school too. I say go for silver. Gold wheels look best on a blue Scooby, IMHO.
  10. Strangely, not burnout. After I was made redundant from Sony/Psygnosis in Stroud, I moved to a company in Fareham, Portsmouth (Climax - you probably know them, or work for them). 6 months later and the project I was working on got cancelled (Roswell Conspiracies), due to the demise of the Dreamcast, and I was made redundant again. So then I started at Data Design Interactive and made a game for Lego (Rock Raiders). 6 months later, the follow-up project got canned - and so did I (again). Since then, I've been very picky about which games company I work for - there are a lot of tin-pot outfits out there, and I don't want to work for EA or Sony (again). I've been for numerous interviews and had many offers, but none have met my expectations yet so I'm still looking (and doing other stuff in the meantime).
  11. Not really, unless games are your lifeblood (like they were for me for far too long). 80 - 120 hours per week with no overtime and you usually get stiffed on any bonus. Theoretically, I should have been able to retire after I made "G-Police" on PSX (PS1) but I only ended up with a poxy £4k bonus after 9 months of working evenings and weekends :( Having said that, I've got a mate who missed out on a £300k bonus after he made "Banjo Kazooie" 'cos he changed company prematurely.
  12. I'm just going to get the Gamecube's replacement 'cos I like playing the best games. Woooosh - FLAME ON ;) BTW, please can everyone stop buying the PAL versions of consoles and get the NTSC ones instead
  13. I used to be a video game developer, but now I'm just a lowly database engineer.
  14. I'm very happy (and relieved) for you, mate :)
  15. Women. Seriously, they don't (generally) have any concept of spatial awareness. And tw@tty HGV drivers who think that they can overtake another HGV that's going 1/2 a mph slower, uphill with a head wind whilst blocking 2 lanes of a motorway.
  16. Yeah, but what do the Dark Side know - they've got the wrong colour cars for a start :p I reckon they can look good if done properly. Unfortunately, I only ever seem to see them on 1.4 Honda Accents :slap:
  17. if the Zcentre radio replacement compartment with the flap would be big enough to hold a tin of rolling baccy in it and still be able to close? I've just got a Zen Touch mp3 player which is about the same size and I want to be able to close the flap to stop it flying around.
  18. And also, "No matter how fit she is, some bloke is tired of putting up with her shit."
  19. I gave up on McDs years ago. They just can't seem to understand what a plain burger is - it always, always comes with tomato sauce (at least). Tw@ts.
  20. I agree too - it's bad enough that First Direct and Sky both use call centres in Scotland ;)
  21. Sun 17th would be better for me.
