As an aside: Any figures for the latest Evo yet? The 2L 400bhp one with the big laggy turbo?
  2. Thx. Dunno yet mate. I hope to.
  3. I resemble that remark! Can't make it tomorrow :( Car is still off-road until I get the wheel studs fixed. Have fun, you lot :)
  4. Mate, you're a bit premature parking in the "MOT Parking" area ;)
  5. Depends on what it is and what the Commodity Code on it is (found in the HMC&E Tariff). That'll give you the % of duty payable on it, then you have to add the VAT on the cost of the goods + duty + shipping. In other words, HMC&E are a bunch of money-grabbing b@stards.
  6. Let's get this straight - they are all called "shitwagons" ;)
  7. What were you thinking letting her drive it? You muppet! ;)

Sorry to hear it, and good luck with the insurance - they can be real b@stards with rear-enders (even when it's not your fault).
  9. so my car passed the MOT first time last week. Last night, I was driving home and a couple of miles from my house I heard what sounded like a helicopter blade noise (whum-whum-whum) that increased and decreased with my speed, and the whole rear started buzzing/rattling with resonance. I pulled over and did a check of the obvious (in the dark) and couldn't see anything wrong, so I nursed it home. This morning it occured to me to check the wheel nuts and I was shocked to find that, on the rear wheels, 3 of 5 bolts had sheared off completely on the nearside and 2 were loose on the offside. This after having had new tyres fitted only 3 weeks ago. I consider myself lucky to still be here to write this. So if any of you hear this type of noise, you know what to check.
  10. I got the free upgrade too. FWIW, I think that Pipex are shite. Their support desk is a complete waste of time and their complaints dept./customer service stinks. The only good thing is the quality of the connection. Everybody will have 1Mb soon as BT upgraded things a while ago and everyone else is playing catch-up.
  11. I've just been offered a 2Mb connection with a 5Gb limit for the same price as my current 512K unlimited one (with Pipex). I don't download that much stuff, but does anybody know an easy reliable way I can measure my usage to see if it's worth swapping?
  12. I just sparked up a bowl of St. Bruno in honour of this day :)
  13. I've had good results by switching to Osram Super H3 bulbs :)
  14. Have you tried a new remote battery, Vijay? When my battery is on the way out, it makes things a bit hit and miss.
  15. Nice workmanship but I dislike the concept.
  16. Is anybody else worried about the availabilty of Optimax, or is it just me?
  17. Cuba has recently become yet another "no smoking in public" place :(

  19. Yes mate - thanks :) I can see where I'm going at night now - top job :) And they didn't even need adjusting :)
  20. my car sailed through its MOT today :hyper: :nana2:
  21. Well, if you're offering I'll have one - my humidor is getting low ;) Check this for a big cigar - 62ft!!!!! http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Daily/CA_Daily_News/0,2342,1031,00.htm
  22. "C'm'ere" and "Stay"
  23. I like the colour, the wheels and the side mods - don't like the rest of it.
