  1. I've been concentrating on all the mechanic works of the suspension and wheels at the moment and to be honest the rest of the zed outside looks sh%te, so after this i can look forward to body upgrades
  2. Yeh, I've been so eager to get it back on the road as it was my daily and i've been car sharing since march with the wifes bug !
  3. Well its been a long time going since i posted up about my zed so with some good news i'd thought i'd best do it. My zed's been off the road now since mid march and over the last four month i've struggled to get by and at a few stages i even nearly gave up completely. At the start of the year i had ordered my driftworks rear hicas bypass which started all my issues when i couldn't prise the ball joint off the knuckle or hub carrier as some of you call it; after trying multple methods i took it to a local engineering works who took a burner too it and slowly pushed them out with some burny hot heat. Problem is they also managed to melt the aluminuim enough that i didn't trust the look or now unknown strength of said parts; so after salvaging some spares i sent them down to Jeff to get the profesionals to fix it which after only two days they were back in my hands and then fitted to my zed - Hicas Swap Done !! Next came the rear wishbones which had been advised on my last MOT to be changed and with the new one due within a month i enquired as to there costs; as i was totally blown away with cost of nissan oem units i again went with driftworks and ordered them up too. After they were swapped out and after finding out i got a fairly big bonus that month i decided what the hell i'm more than 1/2 way so lets do the whole hog so i ordered up the fronts too and replaced the lot. All the above with no spare time on my hands or cash at first took nearly 6 months and just a day before JAE {thurs} i had the zed booked in for a 4 wheel alignment which at this point i was very excited about only to discover at pickup time that the garage refused to do the setup as it was too complicated and they did not book enough time in their work slot to do the job - i was more annoyed that they waited till i came back 4 hours later rather than just call me. So JAE came and i drove down in my daily minus the zed and when i came back i was back to the drawing board. Now on the recomendation of the previous garage i was told of a place to go next as they could fix it all but again after a few weeks or calls to them and no calls back it was obvious that they had any interest in doing it either. After another month of searching local establishments i finally found a company near by that will do the job so in the morning my zed is getting picked up by lo loader and transported to fianlly get its wheels all aligned. I'll upload the journey of the zed tomorrow when she gets shipped off !

  7. Shame, I think we should start a rememberance section ! RIP XFX.
  8. When I got my 19's refurbed i also bought red studs then painted my callipers too. it does make a hell of a Differance.
  9. AndyP who is the club Treasurer is on the move at the moment so you may have to wait a bit until he is back. ill speak to the rest of committee and see if we can get you active earlier.
  10. £216 per set, same price for front and rears ! i think nissan oem are about that a side. http://www.driftworks.com/driftworks-front-rear-adjustable-lower-arms-s13-s14.html
  11. I ended up getting a full set of driftworks.
  12. For the rears you have to buy the full new wishbone so cheaper going aftermarket !
  13. :thumbup1: If that were the case i would find a way for the site to trigger downtime automatically every few hours. Unfortunately; theres likely not enough fuel arround to cope with the average zeds usage never mind the full clubs. So sadley its a no on the compensation idea.
  14. Just a database fault which i'm still looking into to get a full explanation.
  15. On Behalf of the committee: I appologise for the outage of the clubs forum this morning ! This was reported to the clubs hosts and a database fault was discovered which is now resolved, we hope this did not inconvenience anyone too much but if you have any comments on the matter please contact me directly or leave your thoughts below and we shall address them individually. Many thanks Lee
  16. great new del, mines been off the road since march with suspension issues. but all it needs now is a full wheel alignment from scratch
  17. Glad to hear to staying in the zed scene after the issues you had with the white one.
  18. Happy Birthday Buddy !
  19. Ha, fookin brill so stolen for ma facebook !
  20. I came out to my zed 6 months ago with two huge concave dents in the top of my bonnet no idea what caused it until I was at asda one day and I saw a flatbed truck that was parked up and the rear was the same height as the front of my zed but I had no proof that was the truck that did it. best thing is one of those motion cameras and ill be getting one myself shortly.
  21. On behalf of the committee I would like to announce that we have increased the pm storage capacity from the current 500 upto a more manageable 1000. As we're in the digital age that likes to store and see past PM's it only makes sense to up the current limit. So happy PM'ing ! JaiKai
  22. Nah, it was more like this : [video=youtube_share;sAz_UvnUeuU]
  23. At my work there is a lift for the disabled which is new but barely used. Tonight as I passed it I noticed all the lights inside were on and the three buttons were flashing that you push to each floor; well I stupidly decided I would investigate and I pushed the outer button and the lift unlocked so I opened the door - no sooner than I noticed the lift was infact broken down the lift door closed and locked behind me. Phone in hand I called our main office and explain what happened and to get some help. Then I explained through a pain of glass that they need to go get the spare lift keys to reset it and also try find the spare outer door key as I had the masters in my pocket; luckily they got both and managed to get me out after 5 or 10 minutes of them laughing at me. What a laugh and only bloody me would get stuck in a lift. lol
