True, But I've always run raid for the OS drive as I like keeping stuff on my desktop, as much as I like doing the occasional backup knowing my luck the drive will fail and i'll lose everything again.

I thought about going with an SSD but unless you buy the bloody expensive ones the sas drives are just as good, Also the drives will be setup in raid which can cause issues with less expensive ssd drives that don't support trim.

why do they bother even putting that up, I wouldn't use it for track either.

I know we have some computer enthusiasts in the club so thought I'd post up some details of my new rig that i'm building. First off this is not being built for gaming but rather home multimedia and also a virtual server platform. Arrived last week we start off with the motherboard which is a Supermicro X9DAX-7TF : Then the hearts of the beast are two xeon six core 2ghz cpu's I'm planning to order 32GB 1600mhz ECC memory shortly but heres a pic of the case its all going in : The board has 8 sata ports for hard drives but what makes this board special to me is that it also has 8 SAS drive connections so I can run high speed 15k drives in it like these which are 600gb 15k SAS drives :

With regards to the actual Banning this task is solely done by the committee and only a majority vote will allow a ban to proceed. The banning of any member is thoroughly discussed and no member will be banned just because a mod or a committee member has personal history with them. This process will now be followed for any application of previous banned members if they wish to be reinstated.

OK my final say is that no matter what or where you buy please do some due diligence before committing on a sale. As I've said previously this was not a head hunt as I've never once said who the sale came from. If there is pictures great, but if they are unclear then ask for clearer ones. If you pay by paypal then ensure that you never pay as a gift as you have no comeback if things go wrong. Lastly no matter how eager you want to get your hands on something take your time as that's what made me miss all the vital signs. But I can only take so much slander aimed towards me that I had to show everyone what actually happened. I'm not after a head hunt as I would have named from the start. I only want people to understand this from my point of view and make up there own minds rather me being slated on other places. This is an open forum and everyone can have there own opinions which I will not moderate unless they are aggressive towards myself or the committee. From the evidence shown if this arrived at your step would you wish a refund or just accept the damages? The delivery was accepted and signed for yes; but the damage was not apparent until opened. Which courier that you know would allow a parcel to be fully opened by an unknown party with a signature to take ownership ?

Well I've decided I no longer wish to fit it to my zed as I don't want to be remembered by it all the time. So open to serious offers but it does require a bit of work. Maybe I could send it to our very own carmad for repair then sell on from there to save all the postage.
