The heat shield on my zed has just been removed for my re-spray but as I think putting it back on will look pants I don't really want to. Whats the effects on the paint if I leave it off or can it be replaced with new or something better ?

Started to redo my main wire loom at the weekend and this is the results so far : As you can see its only about a third done; but what you can see in the right looms way better.

would the japspeed downpipes fit those do you think ? Or would I have to match up something else.

After a new exhaust and don't know what to get at the moment. Budget is about £600 for a full system including downpipes. Would have went for the japspeed system but there out of stock for now. Any other places to buy apart from doing a custom job?

The harness itself comes with a multitude of connectors, half of which I don't even remember. But hopefully half of them wont be used as the harness actually caters for various years and has multiple version of the plugs as they have changed through the years. My zed is a 96 so we have the new injector sub loom here :

So on to the new loom as I remembered to bring it home this time. Here's the main part : And also bought a new alternator / gearbox sub harness :

Its House of Kolors Kandy Purple ! I believe its a black base coat with Kandy Purple over the top. When you look at it in normal light it looks very dark and close to black. Only when the light hits it like the pic above does it change to very bright purple.

Not much update on my zed but the other car in getting the same colour I also wanted was close to completion so I snapped this picture to give an idea of what mine could look like : Also snapped this one of a very well known car that's at JAE every year : After talking about my loom I've went and left the blasted thing at work so no pics of that until tomorrow.

I havent got to my engine and all in i'm at 6k, but thats mostly cosmetic like respray and new plastic parts.

Brave !! I just made a £1300 order with MJP today aswell so we both must have swallowed the same pill. lol

well i purchased the main loom, gearbox loom and a new det sensor loom so its cost me $765.25 which is about £449.63. Then on arrival to the UK customs charges was £44. Its a big cost but as i'm doing a full rebuild i thought it was worth doing it all. So all in for the three looms was just under £500 posted.
