You can also see from the pic above I have a buggered battery loom as the end snapped off and its now too short. So if anyone feels like donating a loom to me or an easy way to fix this let me know. lastly anyone help identify this plug on the loom ? There is one either side of the plenum and my old loom never had them.

Got a fair few hours done today at the garage. Managed to fit all my new polished bolts for the coil packs and plenum : Fitted my new wiring harness bought from wiring specialties : Also test fitted my new z1 polished hard pipes, although I now have an issue as z1 sent me incorrect clamps for them and it will cost too much to send it back and I bought them nearly a year ago.

exactly style i'm after just don't want to pay 2.5k for it, lol The one I seen is 6m x 4m and has plenty of room for my zed to work in.

Got this polished for my zed but just discovered it was off an auto rather than a manual so hence the sale. Its still at the polishers so can be posted direct to you from there. Should be finished in a about a day or so. Cost me £30 for polishing and £10 for the bar originally so just looking to cover my original costs. Pic below as currently been worked on but will be completely polished in a day or so.

Got the driftworks ones myself and swear by them, and japspeed are likely just as good and likely cheaper. I would stay away from cheap ebay renditions for your own safety.

I removed mine 4 years ago and past every year since. I have an aftermarket momo fitted.

no, I didn't but now I think about it you likely should disconnect the main battery to avoid any accidental static or discharges.

Not sure about doing it safely but I just unplugged mine then removed the cartridge.

Has anyone seen any plan anywhere that we can work from for these sort of projects ? I already have a fairly large hut with concrete base so expanding the base should be simple and a little ground work should allow me to drive my zed up and around the side of the house.

Took one off that looked as if it was designed for that pipe. I'm guessing gasket sealer will be good enough.

Does the lower water pipe need a gasket or will gasket sealer do ? Reason I ask is the remains of a gasket where on the lower pipe while I thought it would have been sealer.

Haha, just read my first post again. Yeh they were good while they lasted but not as good as the real thing.

I liked them enough, but I had doubts they were genuine hence this thread.

Its official then, I'm putting my interior rebuild in the good hands of Mondo.

Excellent advice there and I would rather pay to re-upholster my originals and keep it oem looking for the cost.

Yeh, The first thing I noticed was the gap at the top and could easily see in. I've ordered a pair of halo's for mine so will be another week before I seal them up again. I know Andy has done a few sets but no one has posted a best how-to on getting them fitted so I was surprised they are slightly smaller than the original inserts and need adjustment to look right. When it comes to details i'm a fussy bugger with a little bit of OCD so its likely just me, lol.
