  1. There have been a lot of really good deals going about on Facebook recently so much that you start to question the legitimacy of them all. We all know certain parts for the zed are now unavailable so when a deal comes up for a set of 99 spec headlights which state they are boxed as new and all for under £300 you have to stop and think for a minute. Unfortunately for some people they never saw the signs and fell for this sham and have paid and lost there hard earned cash. So this is just a simple warning to think and seek advice either from us or other users before gambling your cash on something like this. Thanks JaiKai
  2. that's a cool idea, but how does it work ?
  3. That was a cracking landing.
  4. read my guide about doing an aircon swap as its very detailed; Just skip down to about half way : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?151390-Series-4-manual-air-con-to-digital-conversion-(pic-heavy)
  5. Yeh, In time traveling perspective it was all within a few hours. ;)
  6. Exact same as that and I think i'm just missing the cable now.
  7. Oh yes, When I started the refurb my initial order was nearly 3k and that renewed all rubbers, lights and a few other bits. I've since spent another £1000 nearly and more to come next year as I want to replace all the under engine and wheel shrouds. I soon need to do a calculation for insurance to show them what I've spent which scares me.
  8. Another day and another order with czp, many of the things ordered folks will say why?; but much like si we like the originals or near as so has to be done. 9. Have this on my series 4 and its adjustable too.
  10. Buying a new PAS pot so have my chromed one up for grabs. This should fit any TT with HICAS bypass or NA or 94 + TT that has electronic HICAS. It has a few areas needing touched up where the clips attached as you can see oxidisation coming through at a few of the joints. Will be available soon as my new one arrives :
  11. Have this left over from an old breaker so its up for grabs. £25 posted.
  12. Lucky Bugger. New lights are on my list and the plan is to buy the new LHD models from zcentre at £144 each then just take the RHD masks out of an old set and bang you have a new set of RHD models.
  13. they mainly trade from facebook and i think the numbers on there.
  14. Where did you order them from Si, as i was told RHD spec were no longer available thats why i refurbed mine. I was thinking of buying left hand versions and changing the mask over but didnt really want to break the new seals.
  15. Surely he needs to start with the basics first! [video=youtube_share;kB5fd4K2e-M]https://youtu.be/kB5fd4K2e-M
  16. Yeh, they are super rapid and the components come off them in a ribbon like sub machine gun. PCB's like computer mother boards use surface components that go through an oven to melt the solder, and it tends just to be extremely large components that use wave solder. The likes of large amplifiers and so on use large capacitors which are manually soldered or wav soldered.
  17. for anyone interested this is the method large scale pcb's are soldered these days : [video=youtube_share;inHzaJIE7-4]
  18. Got to also think about how the boards were originally made which more than likely been a wave solder where by each component is placed on the board and its partially dipped in a bath of solder. Certain chips and components are heat sensitive so attacking it with a uncontrolled solder gun can damage it.
  19. Happy Birthday, hope your well. :)
  20. no, That's not there, I have the main wheel and the centre piece and that's it. I thought there was bits missing as the centre feels very flimsy as if there is no inner support for it.
  21. Yeh, Its a plastic colar that has a plug for the horn and cruise and also cancels the signals.
  22. Any ideas what cables needed for the horn on this steering wheel ? Also any one got pics of the internals as I cant figure out how it would connect, mine looks as if its got a piece missing.
  23. Bottom of my list at the moment. But thinking about it.
