  1. People are still free to arrange meets in there local area if there are people willing to attend. just because there isnt a REO for the region yet. You can always have a meet at mine, bit out of the way but still, ive got a car park plenty big enough for 15 cars lol
  2. £40 ill have a word for you  Naa only joking :D, im sure we can get that sorted out, give KIM or Richard smith a PM matey with your new name.
  3. scissors hurts like hell mate, not advisable, nail clippers are the way to go, quick pinch tiny pain, and its gone mate. Im sure shell would lend you some nail varnish remover?
  4. you can do 1 of a couple of things mate, you can do the string bit, or you can use nail varnish remover and paint over it (the clear stuff, not pink nail varnish lol) until it drys up and dies and falls off, or you can do the extreme side of it with some nail clippers, and cut it off, it will bleed for a bit but doesn't hurt that much, just make sure you sterilise them first. also use some anti septic cream after. All 3 are effective by the way Tying them takes a few days, as does the nail varnish remover, but the nail clippers are instant. i opted for the nail clippers to be honest, stings a tiny bit, bleeds for a while, but the biggest problem is getting over the thought of doing it lol
  5. i didn't do that, a central reservation barrier did :innocent:
  6. get the back boxes and ill fit them for £40 labour, job done :tt2: (this is not a business venture lol)
  7. from this to this job done, one decent drivers seat yay
  8. go to http://www.photobucket.com create an account Click up load now Select picture from hard drive, (or select more than one, by holding down CTRL while click the pictures) Once you have the pictures you want to up load selected, click OK Wait for upload Click save and continue to album Now you will be presented with a load of little thumb nail images of our pictures, put your mouse cursor over the image and a drop down box will appear, click the option that has photobucketyourimage and it will say "saved" Now head to the forum, open up a reply to this thread, right click and select paste. You should end up with a load of text like this photobucket.com/324325/yourphoto.jpg[ / lmg] Do that for all the pictures you want in the post then once you press reply, it shall show your photo matey, dont worry, sounds long winded but, it really isnt, it also gets past the fact that you can only upload a image thats 2meg in size and no bigger to the forum.
  9. Pliers? what did you use them for? i just used a whoopin great big screw driver and twisted, didnt take much due to length lol
  10. I get up to some strange stuff at stupid hours of the morning for my zed, now thats dedication for you lol
  11. i know, ive already dug out my bag of small cable ties lol, at least im going to have a half decent drivers seat when im finished with no bolster damage at all just a scuff here or there :D Already wired in my electric passenger seat. had to rewire the wing mirrors as well, as for some strange reason the cable had been cut at the plug, plug was still in the switch, but the wires had been cut? So they now work perfectly
  12. Woot, back is now off the chair, now need to get the other seat out of the car and change them over. those clips are a pain in the ass though
  13. must be something wrong with my search function, it didn't show up in that bugger.
  14. How the hell do you get it off? im trying to sort out a drivers seat but its got...nvm just see the photo. the stitching has come away, now i dont want to wreck the seat, just change the back rest padding over from the one currently in my car. as i can then make one good one out of 2 bad ones. Anyone got a write up about it? ive searched but nothing fruitful
  15. There are a lot of proteins the body needs that only come from meat though, your basically cutting off what nature intended our bodies to utilize. But as you said the choice is yours. Anyway, veggies are the worst offenders, i mean you rip a carrot out of the ground pulling all its arms and legs off, then you skin it alive, cut it up and then boil it. how cruel is that. at least we have the decency to kill our food before we cook and eat it :tt2:
  16. as i said to my mrs the other week when we watched the sheep one, we are predators, and if the world goes to shit, im sure all these veggy eating people will soon learn that to survive, will mean killing something somewhere along the way. I how ever have no quarrels with it, and i already know where it comes from as i used to work in a food processing plant after id left school (agency work) so seen my fair share of where it comes from. My only stance on the matter is, if your going to kill it to eat, dont waist it.
  17. think im wrong all you like, the RS turbo was aimed at a younger audience, the zed was aimed at Business men who wanted a sports car, hence the RS turbo is a small compact car Both the fiesta and escort that bears no resemblance to a sports car, and the Zed has sports car characteristics, flowing streamlined looks and a powerful power plant with good handling and rear wheel drive. The skyline is a family saloon first and foremost in japan, and was aimed at families, not boy racers. a more realistic comparison would be the Honda Civic type R or the Honda CRX (not delsol) vs the RS turbo, Renault 5GT turbo
  18. Considering the following the mk2 Golf GTI, and the RS turbos still have, im not sure you can say that they havent aged that well. some of them still do not look 20 years old, all depends on the owner as richard has stated. You cant compare a RS turbo to a zed or skyline, completely different market they were aimed at.
  19. well thats a bit crap, wheres the walk through for others, with pictures  Well done though
  20. totally agree with you there, lambos over the prancing horse any day of the week. especially the murcielago, hell id even swap my zed for a very well done murcielago kit car tbh. absolutely stunning cars, when i was in london parked out side the US embassy, a murcielago was parked across the road and looks ****ing awesome.
  21. i wouldn't say best looking either to be quite frank, id choose my zed over any ferraris in terms of looks any day, would be a close call with a lambo murcielago though, stunning looking car, shame the zed doesnt have the physical presence that a ferrari or lambo does
  22. Why would they? fiats are crap, alpha Romeo's rust to hell, ferraris are always in need of being fixed, and lambos are out of most peoples price range lol Italian cars are more known for fast speeds than reliability, and although we drive one of the most unreliable jap cars, we do care about reliability (sounds strange but we do)
  23. My first 300zx, the plates came back on a comparison site as a nissan primera lol even the insurance company was a bit baffled by that and had to do some serious checking to make sure it wasn't stolen before they would insure it, after running the vin number they got the correct details and got DVLA to update there information. (it was an import N/A)
  24. You obviously haven't owned a Mk2 Golf GTI with a audi engine in then. Mine was a 1990 golf gti 8v 1.8 injection, when i first got it, it blew the head gasket between cylinders 2 and 3, i drove it around like that for over a month, then found out the reason why it had no water in it, one of the block plugs had fallen out of the engine, then i had some strange noise from the dash every-time i went around a bend i had a buzzing type noise, found out it was low oil warning lamp, getting caught short, i threw some diesel engine oil in the old girl, she ran like that for over 4 months before i remembered and changed the oil back. the engine was rock solid, still pulled like a train and so simple to work on. Older german cars are classics for a reason. easy to work on and do not go wrong that often and when they do, they carry on running. hell the garage i took it too couldn't work out how the car was still drivable with just 2 cylinders working, but it did and it didn't destroy the engine in the processes. A head gasket later, the correct oil, a new engine plug and the thing pulled 275bhp on a dino. i have no idea what was done to the engine before i got it, or what mods it had on it or even if it was a standard golf GTI engine in it. as at that point in my motoring life, i was clueless so to speak, all i cared about was that it went from point A to point B. As for french cars, my first french car was a citreon Xantia, i ran that for 2 years on pure rape seed oil (bought from tescos streight from the bottle into the tank) the engine on that was bullet proof, everything else about the car went wrong, but that engine kept on going. I also had a 406 2.0l turbo exec (the rare 150bhp version) and that too ran like a dream, infact its the only car i regret selling. But my jap experience has been a bit to be desired. ive had 5 zeds, first one blew the engine on the way home, the second one had turbo and rusting issues, the 3rd one was good, but had body work problems, the 4th one had low compression and smoked like a bitch, im now on the 5th one, and will be replacing the engine and the gearbox. all were built in japan by Nissan before the french bought the company. So, you can see, i think it a mute point to be honest, every car manufacturer has its reliable cars and its unreliable cars. im sure there are people on here who own 300zx's that are that reliable all they have had to do is get them serviced when they needed it.
  25. My old car used to hover around 95 to 98 degrees for oil temp on a normal run, on a speedy run it would peek at 110. (love the LED read out gauges)
