My New whip
MPH looks like a sticker, looks like japclocks, no doubt you will have a KPH/MPH speed converter unit on the clocks.

polishing help
is that better? still cant seem to get a good picture though? second one does show the top of my head and my lens hood in the inner polished ring, still have to do the rest of it. also think i could get it a lot better tbh, but not bad so far for a first CAS polishing attempt me thinks

polishing help
plenum was half polished anyway, its the one of the blue zed, im concentrating more on the CAS at the moment, going to start afresh on one of the other plenums I've got, this half shiny one is going back on the engine, until I've finished the other one to a better standard. I don't mind, i get time each night to give it a sanding and a polish, plus the fact I've got most of the tools, may as well put them to good use. The photos don't show up just how shiny it is. i was trying to get the camera to focus on the reflection of the TV in it. but the shine just warped the image instead lol

polishing help
Not very good pictures to be honest, cant seem to show the shine it actually has, but after 3 days of constant sanding with finer and finer grade sand paper on my CAS, plus a rotory tool to get started. ive ended up with this so far. Still a long way off what im aiming to achive, but its a start I cant seem to get to the inner bit properly so its looking all pitted in the photos still. Lower two are of my plenum

Non-standard bits?? (Picture Heavy)
I wouldn't complain, at least yours isnt going to go out of shape and start sagging in places like the OEM ones do. I do prefer the leather gear selector, thats more fitting to the interior than the OEM look

TwinZ rear BOLT-ON diffuser
i cant see carbon fiber going out of fashion either to be honest, its used in racing so there will always be carbon bonnets and the like available for road use as well.

TwinZ rear BOLT-ON diffuser
Im sure this could be modified to fit a LWB, i cant see it being a problem for a competent body shop, i id have no problem with buying it for a body shop to give it ago. Yowser, think the reason there isnt a twinz distributor is they got bitten in the UK last time. also the export costs didn't make it financially viable as no one wanted to buy a rear bumper that costs £800

TwinZ Rear spoiler
lol, i was just being argumentative :devil2: i know what your on about, the twinz does look good, and the fiber glass option is certainly an improvement over the original design. think we might have to start up a group buy for that diffuse though.

how to ruin it!
excuse me if im wrong, but as its a N/A, it doesnt have hicas?

how to ruin it!
with colour coding like that, id hate to think how they dress. Silver arm rest cover? black boot, with silver stickers, and some kind of sky blue theme, going on in the engine bay, not to mention the rear looks like its been raised. what ever possess people to do such things? i know there is each to there own, but sometimes....

TwinZ Rear spoiler
i think you will find comparing those 2 pictures, is like comparing the side of a zed, to the side of a bus. Its all a matter of perspective as you can see, the rear 89spec spoiler has a curve to it, like the twinz, reasons is, because they have copied it.

Snapped bolt? No fapping problem...
ive gotta get a decent tap now, to tap out new threads, just not sure what size im going to need, also need to get some bolts to replace the ones that snapped unless the ones on my old engine give up quite nicely. Gaaarggh, i just want my bloody engine in the car. i hate this waiting

TwinZ Rear spoiler
whats confusing, is - it IS a slightly modified 89spec. nothing special about it, yet yowser hates the 89spec, yet likes this one? Its not that much different, just takes the 89spec, changes the break light, gives the edges a slight curve, and then squares off the rest. do love the diffuser though. wondering if i could get a body shop to make it fit my wings west rear bumper. Yowser, im not saying i hate it, i just cant see the point matey. no hard feelings or anything

Snapped bolt? No fapping problem...
something else to add to the ever growing tool kit lol

TwinZ Rear spoiler
Yowser i think your seeing things, the twinz design one looks more square than the 89spec. honestly bud. (andy, i did a google search for 300zx 89spec spoiler and it popped your photobucket page up LOL)

Snapped bolt? No fapping problem...
just remember, slow and steady and get something to keep the temprature down, you dont need much pressure for them to work either. best sub £10 drill bits ive bought in ages to be quite honest.

TwinZ Rear spoiler
oooh, when did they start selling that diffuser separately.......:D
-
TwinZ Rear spoiler
how can you honestly say the 89spec is square and a "after thought" spoiler? ? The after thought spoiler is the 94spec table top. the 89spec follows the lines very nicely
-
TwinZ Rear spoiler
i actually think the 89spec is one of the best looking spoilers for the car. very well designed, and nothing stopping you modding the brake light to LED's. Not sure on that one from different angles. it was never about the spoiler "sticking out more" but more the overall look of the car with it on. I think nissan got it just right the first time, twins haven't actually improved on the design as far as im concerned, they just took what was already a very nice spoiler, slightly modified it and are now making cash on it. The rear bumper was more to add a diffuser, the diffuser its self is very nice, and im sure it wouldn't take much for them to sell the diffuser separately as a add on for the original bumper and offer it at a lower price, but they are in a business and there business strategy says that people will pay for a 89 spec bumper with lower sides and a diffuser, just for the diffuser. Still prefer the 89spec, and i have to disagree, the 89 spec doesnt look dated. the paintwork or the overall condition of it makes it appear dated, get one with a spanking new paint job, or one thats been well taken care of, and it looks absolutely fine and upto date.

TwinZ Rear spoiler
not that much different from the 89spec to be honest mate.

Snapped bolt? No fapping problem...
finished off drilling out the studs, think i need to redo the threads though, as they are rusty to hell :( also need to figure out if i actually do need new turbo housing or not as i have a crack near the waist gate on both turbos :crying:

Totally dropped a b0ll0ck with this one. Long sorry
Ok take a look at these few photos, this is of my pug 406, 1996 2 litre turbo petrol, (150bhp) exec, it had total closure factory fitted alarm, driver and passenger air bags, A/C fully working, electric seats, heated seats, heated wing mirrors, 6 disk CD multichanger in the boot, CD player as standard in the cabin, full cream leather interior, it did 35mpg, auto windscreen wipers (would turn on when sensed rain) Front fogs, everything worked fine on it, the only thing i needed to replace when i first got it was the exhaust system due to being caught on speed humps. i ran it for 2 years with out a hitch, even drove a 16 hour drive up to the isle of uist just off the coast of the isle of Skye and then back again I paid £200 for it, as it had no tax or MOT, and after i replaced the exhaust system, it flew through with no advisories. in the 2 years of owner ship, not a thing went wrong with it (regret selling it actually). When i hear someone say "you get what you pay for" i don't aways believe that. some times you get a lot more than what you pay for. Now thing is, that was a £200 car, Now if i was looking at a car that was advertised with A/C as the one jane bought, if it was advertised with full dealer stamps, and there wasn't, just like the one jane bought, and it went wrong not long after getting it, say in the first week, and they kept fapping me about saying it was fixed when it wasn't. id be very pissed, especially in todays climate, £1040 is a lot of money, i dont care how much you earn. It Doesn't matter what you paid for it, the fact of the matter is, it wasn't a private sale, it was a business sale and falls under the trade descriptions act. But, im not going to say Jane was completely innocent in this, had she questioned why SHE needed to pay for a re-gas of the air-con on a car she was purchasing, especially when it stated in the add that it had A/C, to me, that would of set alarm bells off instantly and i would of walked away. What the garage is doing she bought it from, is basically taking the P, they know it, we know it, Jane knows it, cost isnt the issue here, the practice with which the garage is using is. But, i stand by what i said, Jane needs to settle down with a decent car that doesnt need a lot doing and keep hold of it for a while.
