Totally dropped a b0ll0ck with this one. Long sorry
Might be an idea to buy a car thats suited too you, that runs fine, doesnt need much doing too it. and keep the bloody thing for a while, the more you buy the more you run the risks of this happening.

Snapped bolt? No fapping problem...
Now ive posted this in zed related as its related to my zed lol Only thing stopping me drilling out the last bolt now, is my god damn drill battery. But if you have a stuck bolt, i cant recommend these things enough. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290575268983&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Now i know dewalt do some of the best power tools on the market, as i used to have a crap load when doing sparky work, but considering the price i got these for off of ebay, and considering sometimes people like to sell counterfeit stuff on there, i was a bit optimistic, but having just drilled out a bolt with a snapped off el-cheap-O easy out, and it went right through, no problems. Grab your self a bargain. didn't even snap one bit either. result. just one more to drill out now. come on charger.....

Is there no cheap insurance anymore?
what im saying though is, there is more of a deterrent though now a days. i bet the numbers have dropped. Im the same though, i wont drive the car with no tax / insurance, its just not worth the risks to other people or the points on my licence.

Is there no cheap insurance anymore?
considering how long ANPR has been running on most police force car, im sure that figure has actually dropped a bit. i think its now just used as an excuse to force prices higher on insurance. ok a few get away with it here and there, but hell i couldn't even get over to a tyre place to get my car sorted out once with out the old plod pulling me over, apparently i didn't have insurance on the vehicle, when i asked them to ring the insurance company, they had made a mistake and put a Y instead of a U on my documents. But i didn't even make it 12miles before i set off a police ANPR car.

Replacing door speakers help?
here we go First unscrew these One here (unless its japspec, then there is 2 more to undo) with the window down, you have this remove the cap to reveal the screw with in Remove pillar trim, to reveal 2 bolts (seen here with one removed already) remove the 2 screws in the window switch door handle and remove to reveal one more screw (screw not pictured as its been removed already) Take the door handle surround off Now pull the bottom part of the door away from the door frame, and then lift so it unhooks off the window ledge. Special notes: If you have Jap spec doors, the seat belt will be on the door pillar, you need to remove the plastic cover at the top, and using a 14mm spanner / socket. remove the bolt securing the seat belt to the top of the door pillar. Procedure is the same for the passenger side, only you have 2 screws behind rubber caps on the door handle. Hope that helps.

fecking electrics
well found out where the smoke was coming from, id wired up the wingmirrors last week after someone who owned it before me had basically just cut the wire. only to find today once id taken the center console apart again that the cables had fused together. now not sure whats going on here, but it definitely wasn't my wiring, as the wires for the cables were exactly the same when wired together. so it was like for like colour. Obviously it shorted out somewhere along the lines as the two of the wires were melted to each other all the way down, I used these type of connector to connect the wires together. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290379337971&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT The cable i used for the plug was off a UK spec TT, the wiring loom i connected it too was a UK spec TT.

Installing second battery
well, the live wire for the amps runs from the + terminal on the battery in the bay thats connected to the alt, this then runs the length of the car into the boot area where there is a fuse box (yes i know your supposed to have a fuse closest to the battery, but blame the guy who installed this the first time around) Just before the fuses where the main live runs into the fuse box, is 2 connectors for the live feed into the fuse holder, i tap a 12gauge copper wire into this connector before the fuse. it will be taking a direct live feed from the battery and alt. thus charging the battery, then its a simple case of earthing the battery correctly on the numerous earth points on the rear of the car. Car batteries are supposed to be linked pos to pos, and neg to neg, and not in series, it will give me twice the storage capacity if i have the same batteries.

Installing second battery
Was wondering if it was a good idea to install a second battery into my Zed due to running 2 amps, and a carputer, plus all the other parts that are on zeds. id imagine its not doing my alternator any good trying to recharge the battery when everything is being ran. Was thinking of taking the live feed for the amps and pluming the second battery into the AMP fuse box in the boot, and then earthing the battery on the same point as my AMPs do, using 12gauge copper wire. only thing is, the ideal place to put a battery is taken up by a 10" subwoofer. Anyone know if id run into issues doing this? Or any good 12v small batterys? i have a spare battery for a zed but its bloody large, and i dont want it floating around the boot getting into trouble.

pick me up, take me to garage with car. ill get ya cash back. Sounds like bodge it and scarper to me. "couldnt find a fault" even with oil warning light and buzzer going haywire? yeah sure. Sounds more like he drove it around the corner and parked it up for 20mins while he went for a mcdonalds in his new car.
