  1. I wouldn,t want to drive a car they,ve " ahem " modified , most looked to be complete death traps :angel::angel::angel:
  2. Yep , no taste !!!
  3. This exactly what i did , searched around a scrappy,s and found that most Ford ones were black ( to replace the injector connectors ) , Vauxhall are yellow ( temp connector on a zed but much better quality !) Volvo were grey (IIAV replacement i think ?? ) Went round cutting off loads of different colours to replace with the correct colours , worked a treat and only cost me £2 :thumbup1::thumbup1:
  4. That looks a great car bud :clap::clap:
  5. A bit like fitting an aftermarket radiator which most of us have done without worrying about it :whistling: I couldnt fault the quality of the one i got in the link bud :yes:
  6. The mod is only to open the slot the matrix slides in by about 2mm , that,s got to be worth doing for a saving of a few hundred pounds !! , even a pattern part will probably outlast the life of the car from now , don,t forget it,s took the best part of twenty years for the originals to fail . Since doing mine the heaters bloody brilliant , i have to turn it down cos it cooks my feet:punk::punk:
  7. I,ve just treat myself to a set of these :tt2::cool3: I thought they looked the dogs dangleys as well .
  8. between turbo and non turbo pulleys ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ORG-Nissan-300ZX-96-3-0L-DOHC-24-NON-TURBO-Light-Pulley_W0QQitemZ140386211317QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item20afab95f5
  9. Tis possible on an auto but fiddly as already mentioned , i did mine last year and here,s how to save a chunk of money on a matrix , http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=119753 This is the aussie guide i used , found it invaluable , took me a bout 5 hours. hth . http://tech.aus300zx.com/heater/heatercore.htm
  10. That would be the torque converter locking giving you direct drive and when you lift off the gas unlocking so there,s no engine braking , just FYI seeing as you sold it , lol .
  11. I,ve seen it in the flesh and believe me it,s a stunner , anyone in the market for NA would be a fool to let this one slip by !!!:thumbup:
  12. Happy birthday Ivan , have a few on us bud :duffer::duffer::duffer::duffer:
  13.:clap::clap::clap: I did a days marshalling at Donnington back in the day when Giancarlo Fallapa was on a Ducati and Steve Spray and Trevor Nation were on the Norton with a rotary engine , by fook those Nortons howled :punk::punk: A great day to remember :yes:
  14. Check these nutters out :ohmy:
  15. Looks like the Greddy Gracer i have fitted :thumbup1::thumbup1:
  16. Screws or rivets should not be left in place just used to hold n the correct position until tiger seal has cured , if you leave them in in countersunk holes and fill over the heads it will eventually crack around these , like most fibreglass parts they can settle after a while especially it they get too hot in the sun but as for cracking as long as you,ve keyed everything properly you shouldn,t have a problem . BTW Dolphin Glaze is made by UPOL . HTH
  17. Upol easy sand can be a bit porous , it,s ok to use as a build up filler but i would highly recommend Dolphin Glaze for your final finishing filler , it,s a thick liquid style filler that is very smooth to rub down and being nearly liquid it doesn,t suffer from pinholes , great for getting a super smooth repair . IIRC is also made by Upol but i,ll have a look tomorrow at work . HTH
  18. I had the same a few years ago , kept wondering why it was white smoke but smelled of burnt oil , it turned out to be the rear turbo seals that were leaking , being the rears it leaks straight into the red hot cast exhaust elbow which i think causes it to be atomised rather than burnt which should cause blue smoke . That,s what i think happens with these cars and confuses alot of people , definately made me scratch my head for a good while . HTH
  19. I can,t chaps , it,s my mums birthday and were out for a family meal ( boring ) lol
  20. Ooh that,s a bit of clever design , same principal as ailerons on a plane but instead or using them to cause a roll it,s used in reverse to counteract the roll , very neat indeed :thumbup1::thumbup1:
  21. That,s got to be the nicest zed re-trim i.ve seen , not garish just very tastefully done with the right colour combi , SUPERB :thumbup::thumbup: I,ll get mine to look like that one day :whistling:
  22. Or use a Caramel wheel , these are designed to remove stickers and double sided tape off bodywork without damaging the paintwork , available from any good Motor Factors . It,s a rubber wheel on a mandrel that you put in a drill and rub what you want off of your paintwork , they work great .
  23. I was looking at these and couldn,t understand the benefit of fitting one , the standard brass bush should last for years with no real downsides but as you pointed out the needle one could fail !
  24. Just out of interest Jimmer , what sort of figure are we looking at to re-build to as good as new standard spec or uprated . Cheers
