  1. I can,t make my mind up whether it,ll look right , although i,ve smoothed and blended the sideskirts the rear bumper has a Greddy Gracer rear skirt on it and i,m worried it,ll make it look a bit bland if i fill the swage in . I,ve got a 99 front which will still have it,s swage left in it so i,m thinking leaving the rear one as it is will look more balanced . What do you reckon ? Smoothed sides The bumper with the skirt on ( old piccy ) 99 Front with the swage ( another old piccy)
  2. Hiya Graham , not done alot recently cos of the weather , just been doing a few bits i can do in the warmth :blushing: ! lol Hoping to get back on with it soon .
  3. It,s a piece of pi55 bud , removals only a few nuts as for the panel once the three pins are out get it nice and warm with the heaters but keep the heaters on it while working on it to keep the mastic soft , i used a pair of flat blade scrapers slipped between the halves but away from the corners and used a gentle but constant twisting action and the panel starts to come apart , going gently just work around the panel until it seperates .HTH
  4. Jeez i thought i,d been doing a bit !! That,s gonna be the cats conkers when it,s done bud :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
  5. Cheers , i,ve just looked on ebay for the seller and i can,t find them anymore :angry::angry:
  6. I,ve been waiting for an E.L panel coming from china , turned up today so i,ve been playing ! lol I read this write up but didn,t fancy using an oven ! http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/tech/illrp/illrp.html I used a couple of blow heaters to warm my centre panel after removing the brass pins , they,re not screws as mentioned in the write up , i then gently prised it apart. The inside black is very translucent so i scotchbrited it and used some satin black to paint it I used a 320 grit DA pad and sanded the paint off the letters which are raised and make it simple to do Once sanded hold it up to the light to see if it,s ok Now the E.L panel came as a A5 sheet so it was too small to cover the letters in one strip so i cut 2 and overlapped them in the middle Wired them up , stuck them on the inside with gaffer tape and bobs ya uncle one bling centre panel !
  7. I can reccomend Carmads , i,ve just got a pair :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

  11. I ,ve been looking at these , don,t know about import duty and i,d want them sent in a wooden box so there,s no damage in transit !! lol http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-NISSAN-300ZX-90-96-PILLAR-MOULDING-TRIM-6PC-SET-2-2-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem53e54c2f8fQQitemZ360329260943QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  12. I,m just doing this with mine , i,m fitting led repeaters in the mirrors . I,ve also got a 99 spec front bumper and the indicators that are in this do wrap around the corner of the bumper giving visible light from the side and have read on here that because of this i shouldn,t legally need repeaters !! but i,m fitting them anyway . These are made to be stuck on the surface , which looks 5hit so i,ve cut a hole and fitted them from the back so all the wirings hidden and looks sooo much neater .

  18. This is what i,ve had to do to mine , although i bought the replacement panels you could make sections for patching quite easily it.s just mine needed a bit more than patching ! lol :hammer: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=142121
  19. I,ve just used a couple of 2kw electric fan heaters to warm my centre panel , came apart really easy as you can warm a much larger area without the risk of melting anything !!
