  1. Have been looking at various options on monitoring what's happening with the Zeds power plant and how to best protect it from any potential problems. Has anyone used these gauges from AEM? Not only can they monitor more than one item at a time, ie can have boost and AFR on 1 gauge, as well as log 3hours of data, but they can and this is the bit that caught my eye The gauge includes a low side output for triggering a failsafe strategy in the event AFR falls outside of the operating window (example strategies below), and an RPM input to log RPM for tuning purposes. Decent explanation of how/what they do Seems like reading this it would be relative simple to wire in a relay to trigger an interruption to the boost controller or cut the ECU momentarily. Interesting read below http://www.enginebasics.com/EFI%20Tuning/AEM%20Failsafe%20Gauge.html Your guys thoughts and comments welcome as usual

  8. Welcome, good luck with your search. Plenty of good advice available on here, don't be afraid to ask anything.
  9. I have to go against the majority here, and say that the front bumper does age the car. If I was to change anything on my cars bodywork right now it would the bumper, as I think the extra "driving" lights look naff. Having always liked the Twinz front end when it came out I would say go change it Spin, sure keep the old but IMO the Twinz front end is a big improvement and looks more modern and aggressive. Personally I never thought of it as a fish look alike, but more that larger intake area will keep the ICs and radiators cooler.

  18. Hi I have the 2.5" setup Alan. Don't think there's a 3" available.
  19. Once it's been set up properly, (Noel is doing mine) the only thing I will be switching is from "A" to "B" setting A - NORMAL (Pansie driving) B - Ballistic - Track day, rolling road/scare myself sh15less If they are all as complicated as my Apexi, then once set, I will be leaving well alone. As it takes someone like Noel who has a very good understanding of duty cycles etc.. to get the best from them, Oh and the most important one, LIMITING THE AMOUNT OF BOOST, to protect your engine!
  20. SteveE, no problem at all. All this information/discussion is good for all of us.
