  1. LOL.... Chris Marmite Moyles.....
  2. yeah ditto... I'd do heaps for charity if I had his money.... i think you'll also find that Gaddafi gave money to charity... lol.. doesn't change who he is... :p
  3. Hi and welcome.... not sure of people will agree with me but it's mostly about luck.... you could buy anyone you mentioned and have a problem or just as likely find a gem!!! the key is make sure you check the car out well..... vin or chassis numbers to verify age and be like a hawk on the UK models for rust as it does tend to hide in places.... good luck....

  5. don't you just love new technology.... http://damnyouautocorrect.com/category/best-of-dyac///page/1/
  6. LOL.. something wrong with a society that encourages nobs to get richer and not give a shite... The UK is in economic meltdown and that little tw4t Hamilton takes his millions and sticks them in a Swiss bank.... and why?... because he can.... and now the people who can't have to pick up the bill for him and all the other buttons..... :p .............rant over......
  7. LOL... crazy is right.... good to watch...
  8. and would be easier to notice at night....
  9. I also installed a relay and loom to reduce the power over the old wires, particularly when the high beam is used when you have the mod done to stop the dipped going off... also less likely to blow a fuse.. like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HID-Battery-Loom-Harness-and-Relay-H4-3-Hi-Low-Kit-/230350322753?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35a1f2fc41#ht_2219wt_906
  10. Mmmmmmmmmm the HID kit will fit right in.... it's H3c but HID kits don't care.... Hi is for the high beam... you wouldn't want hids there..
  11. So it's £800 all in? that includes import tax (if you get done for it), spaying and fitting? if not they it's going to cost you a lot more than that.
  12. got to say i totally agree with Rich666.. I saw a program about a year ago and it discussed the issue. The truth of it is that if you managed to get something cheap because it was marked at that price it was totally down to the shops discretion and they were totally within their rights to advise you of the mistake and ask for the correct amount... It kind of makes it OK for shops to false advertise.... however I can't remember how you stand if they charge you the wrong amount and you then have the item.... not sure if they can actually make you pay more... (i.e. once you've left the store) However that isn't what went on in this case. :(
  13. if you turn on your lights to just sidelights the dipped beam on your car will illuminate a little (dull)... However the HID's do not like partial power or on and off all the time (i.e. being flashed). As RichardSmith says it didn't affect his ones but as Groover says you're better off without it as it could damage the ballasts. does that make sense?
  14. looking at the instructions for this I think I may have done it wrong... it says to turn the car off, unplug the aac then start it up and adjust the screw... I did it all with the engine running.... might have a go at doing it the other way.
  15. OK, first pic is of car after warm up and little drive.... then unplugged AAC and took second pic..... idle dropped 100 (or so), turned screw up and then down …. Didn’t seem to make any difference, plugged it back in and revs go up again !!! how far should it be turned before noticeable change in idle? cheers....
  16. Good one, thanks Jeff.... I bought the car with the electric fan on it, so unfortunately don't have one to put on (please pm me with details). I'll do as you advise and check the idle without the aav.. could this be causing the hesitation? your advise is most appreciated... Gerry.
  17. what mileage comes with that? but nice price for a tt import anyway...
  18. Ah, yes he already has.... I've checked previous posts and printed them off.... however I couldn't find the solution to high AAC.... if it's the unit then i can replace it but if it's something else obviously i would need to address that. i was hoping it would be a simple common thing but it might need me to take it to him... unfortunately it's a bit of a drive.... on the high temp side I'll have to check that the electric fan is actually working... since most of my driving is motor way and very early or evening the temp stays low..
  19. LOL… sexiest!!! Difficult…............. My opinion only…. :whistling: Black, definitely the meanest. Red, would have to be the sportiest. Silver and Gun metal, refined, understated (if a Z can be that). Yellow, loudest. The blues, greens, and other stranger colours are more for shows (mind you I think they still look fantastic, just not sexy)……. White… with a really nice body kit… could be the top contender for sexiest!!! Can’t find the photo I really want (car was for sale a year or so ago) had a really shiny white and looked absolutely shagable… lol… Here are some that look sexy….
  20. Ah yes..... I did give it a bit of a run..... and then just sat on the driveway after wards (quite a steep uphill slope, if that makes any difference).. thanks both.... I've look at it before after a warm up... constant 80 C and AAC is still too high and always is. i'm running 555 injectors.. (silly om me not to mention) what are the causes of a high AAC reading?
  21. lol.. it does seen very little.... Mmmmm
