  1. Many thanks Jaffa! Now why didn't that come up when I did a search ... Cheers mate. So, it looks like an expensive exercise and the company I need to speak to is Leader and ZTech ... Excellent! Dan
  2. Hi guys! I recall someone saying (quite a while ago) that it is possible to uprate the TT dif with NA gearing - which makes it stronger than putting in a NA diff. I've tried to search for it but nothing substancial come up. Am I going nuts or is this in fact an option? If so can anyone point me in the right direction for information or perhaps even someone who has done this conversion successfully? Thanks! Dan
  3. I see - can't say I've seen you around though. If you like we can set a date/time aside to have a quick meet! I work from home so am generally around. Let me know if that interests you. Cheers! Danny
  4. Mine's silver (or grey depending on how dirty it is ;)) and I do go up/down the Slough quite a lot. There is a gun metal grey one in Studley so presumably it could be him ... Are you local? Dan
  5. Just drove from Bath to Studley (Warwickshire) in mostly snow in my Zed. M4 and M5 were not a problem but the smaller roads were pretty iced up already. Picked up a gearbox which weighed down the back nicely - didn't have any problems at all controlling it - didn't go sideways ones! Please people be carefull out there! All the best, Dan
  6. Tonight at around 1830pm, you beeped, I waved! Black J-spec Zed (J ... GAU), deep dish wheels and big exhaust. BTW two of your brake light bulbs are not working (in the spoiler that is ...) You continued on the A435 towards Alcester when I turned off in Studley. Dan
  7. Not as simple as it sounds Karl. You'd need to be able to make a reflector and housing for the bulbs, etc. The clear plastic has all sorts of stuff going on the otherside of it. Also, can you please get back to me about the HKS filter pad I'm still holding for you. Cheers! Danny
  8. Yes Dave, these come from Tokyoauto with whom I'm dealing at the moment. THey're not very open to trading with foreigners and my complete inaptitude of Japanese isn't helping matters either. I'm close to having an agreement worked out with them whereby I can order parts through a Japanese "middle man". Payment is complicated as they dont accept foreign credit cards, paypal of foreign money transfers but we're working on it. I'm not really sure it's worth it as the landed price is exorbitant on most of their parts. These mirrors for example will cost approximately £300 for two mirror covers with integrated "indicators" - you'll still need to get it sprayed and it's not actually an indicated, it's a "side light" ... Their clear rear side reflectors cost £115 landed ... But, I'm going ahead as planned and will hopefully soon be able to source these parts. Dan
  9. Simon, Very sorry to hear of your loss - my condolences to you and your family. I've met your father on several occassions, most recently at my hose and can say that he was a good man. It's now important that you take stock of all the good things you have in life and look back on the good times you've had with your dad. Time will heal the hurt and I like to think that those who pass on will live in our memories forever... Danny
  10. Don't know yet - will know when it arrives tomorrow. I bought two packs (just in case). At £3.50 per pack it's hardly a problem ... Dan
  11. Although the number on the picture indicates SP-602, the actual part number used in the UK is 50602. HTH Dan
  12. We've been getting these scrotes every night for about a week now ... I've run out of coins! They're enterprising little buggers though because you never see them throughout the year and then all of a sudden they're there every night singing the same crap. One lot we pushed for a second verse (which they didn't know) so they started singing "happy birthday" as they figured it was Jezus's birthday .... Wife has suggested we give them chocolate coins instead ... One of them even commented on our Shisha (waterpipe used for smoking). "Nice bong you've got mate - can we use it?" WTF??? Just for the record, it's not a bong, I bought it in Dubai and it is a non-functioning, purely ornamental waterpipe! Put up a sign on the door yesteday saying "Gringe lives here - if you can't sing four carols in at least three different languages then stop wasting my time and go back to school!" Didn't seem to deter them though ... Dan
  13. Thanks for the link mate - I've just ordered the parts and they should be with me tomorrow via Special Delivery! :hyper: Dan
  14. Yep, I sell these and have them in stock. £22 delivered including silvertec bulbs. Dan
  15. Thank you very much indeed gentlemen! Off to the modelshop I go! Dan
  16. Hi guys, I've searched but cannot find a recent post which specified the Tamiya differential gear part number which is required to fix the headlight adjusters. I must be going blind! How many sets do I need, can anyone tell me where I can get them and approximately how much to expect to pay for them. Many thanks for your time! Dan
  17. Hi Paul, Looks like you may be ok then ... but I would keep checking it every now and again. As for the ECU relearning the parameters, that's an ongoing process and depends entirely on the type of driving that you do (ie, mainly motorway or a mixture of motorway and town driving, etc). I would normally say that the majority of the parameters have been "relearned" within about 20 miles. Relearning is actually a misleading term. What actually happens is the ECU is looking for the most appropriate settings given your type of driving. This in turn is dictated by the mappings on the eprom. HTH Dan
  18. The ECU will store all faults for up to 50 "starts" - a bit awkward but that's what it does. Once the ECU has been reset you start with a clean slate with "start 1". If you look at a ConZult readout of the fault codes you'll see things like: "Code 34 - 7 starts ago" "Code 14 - 2 starts ago" etc. Dan
  19. Paul, Check it again after a ride. I've often seen ECU codes reset to 55 after a fiddle with a connector or wire. However, there could be a break in the wire which manifests itself every once in a while. Worth a check mate. Dan
  20. PM'd you earlier mate but just for good measure, here goes: Boost Pipe Kit (silicone colours: red, blue, black, yellow): £225 + £8 delivery - addition of a boss for BOV's: £30/pair (send me your BOV's to ensure propper fitment) Radiator Pipe Kit (top & bottom; same colours as above): £135 + £8 delivery - addition of a boss in the top rad pipe to accept aftermarket water temp gauge: £15 (please send me your sender unit to ensure propper fitment) I don't do the lengths of 3mm, 4mm, 6mm and 8mm silicone hoses so please contact Smithy for those. Cheers! Danny
  21. Hi Andrew, Got the e-mail and have replied. Will get the bulbs in the post as soon as possible but given the current state of the postal system you may not get them until next week! Thanks for the order and all the best to you and your family too! Danny
  22. There's no need to remove the headlamp pods to fit new bulbs (HID's or standard). If your HID kit is the correct type then it should be a straight swap. If not then you've got some modifying to do ... By the way, the big rectangular lights - or also referred to as main beam - should certainly light up. Perhaps their fuse isn't working or there is a problem with the wiring to them. HTH Dan
  23. You're right! I only thought of that a couple of days ago too! Hope I haven't pissed Blatz off too much with what I've said in response ... Dan
  24. Ok no problem. What spoiler lights are you talking about? The ones closest to the number plate (which are fog/sidelights in Jap spec cars and indicators/sidelights in UK-spec cars) or the high mounted brake light at the back (either in the spoiler or behind the clear perspex sheet if you've got a tailskin fitted)? Let me know which ones and I'll tell you exactly what you need. Dan
  25. Hi Blatz, It's nothing personal mate - just a comment. I'm sure your product works well but our two products cater towards different ends of the market. We've invested hundereds upon hunderds of hours in developing the ConZult software and hardware and delivering a professional product. Our initial benchmark was the Nissan Consult which we've easily surpassed in both ease of use and functionality. The ConZult has more functionality than the Blatz product - and there is certainly room for the both of us! As for changing the DET sensor in-situ, if you can do it in 3-4 hours then you must have double jointed fingers and the patience of a saint! LOL! I certainly wouldn't want to do it - and I've tried ... Overall Blatz, I hope you understand I wasn't "dissing" the Blatz product. I was merely looking out that the ConZult name wasn't being misused (intentionally or by mistake). I'm sure you would do the same. Regards, Dan
