  2. Hi Jon, I don't know where you got the pipes from ... but they should have been sold with silicone sleeves! As I sell these hard pipe kits I have the sleeves in stock (well, most of them anyway) so can sell you these if need be. The diameters are as follows: Throttle body pipes: one 63mm sleeve and one 63-51mm reducer per pipe Turbo pipes: two 51mm sleeves per pipe You'll also need the fixing bands.   3. No Vijay - our cable is not compatible with the Datascan software. I think the main reason people find the Datascan tool more useful when doing incar diagnostics (ie whilst driving) is that it utilises a bigger screen with analogue dials. Other than that our ConZult product is better if you're after diagnostic/workshop/tuning purposes (but I'm biased ;)) HTH Dan
  4. They are indeed a PITA to get out. It's a bit of a long way around but it is a lot easier if you remove the whole light unit from the car. Four bolts underneath the light and you can pull the light forward just far enough to get the H1 bulb out. HTH Dan
  5. Ok - definitive guide for JDM Z32: If you're using the standard Nissan H3C bulbs dip beam will turn off when engaging high beam. If you're using a modified H3 bulb and earthing the conversion lead to chassis then dip beam will NOT turn off when engaging high beam. I know this becaust this is what mine does. If you're using a modified H3 bulb but connect the conversion lead into the negative side of the power connector then you revert back to H3C conditions and dip beam will turn off when engaging high beam. HTH Dan PS - When using HID's in dip beam they will not turn off when engaging high beam (or flashing another car) and this is detrimental to the life span of the HID bulb. So if you don't want to rewire the relay/fuse box just use your fogs to flash and don't use high beam ;)

  8. Last I saw them on offer was from a company in Japan (who's since gone bust) and the price for a pair of side skirts came to £980 which did not include shipping to the UK! I don't think anyone made copies of these either. If I come across any I'll let you know. Cheers! Dan

  10. It's a Konnexion kit and there is no Euro/UK dealer/supplier. BTW - that pic was taken about 3 years ago at a tuning show in Japan. I've attached another pic of it.

  12. I agree with Eric - the A'PEXi brand was bought by APEXERA last year. I've just enquired with a source in Japan and although he can't say anything about the global operations of APEXERA, they are still in business in Japan and there are no indications that they will cease operating or even be subject to a bankruptcy proceeding. I think this is yet another of those internet "chinese whispers" things. Dan

  14. Although I don't have a fitting guide I do know that it's quite an involved job. You'll need a proper pulley to get the old pulley off and you'll also need new belts as the lengths will now be different with the lightened U/D pulley fitted. You can fit your UK U/D pulley to your JDM. HTH Dan
  15. I used to get parts through Autobacs in the US but have stopped using them about a year ago. This was mainly due to the fact that a lot of their stuff is made from cheap materials and I also had my fair share of "faulty" items returned to me. If they adopt a similar pricing strategy and "level of expertise" as Halfords then I'm not worried at all about them opening superstores! :x: ;) Dan

  17. It is designed to quicken shifts at wide-open-throttle (WOT). It does this by keeping the line pressure constant rather than backing it off slightly during the shift. This can, if you box isn't in top condition, speed up the box's deterioration. It also means that normal shifts, especially on the over run, can be a bit rough. An ALC is typically something for the 1/4 mile boys looking to decrease shifting time.

  19. They often sound embarrasing because one of the two has become disconnected. Easiest way to check is: if you haven't got mesh in your bumper (1) look through the airdam opening towards your fog lights (2) feel around the back of the horn to ensure the connector is firmly on if you have mesh in your bumper (1) take the corner indicator unit out (2) stick your hand through the opening and feel around for the horn (just past the fog light) and feel for the connector Failing that get some new ones and wire them up. Most motorfactors have horns and it should cost more than around £15 for a pair. I got some Ferrari horns (of a breaker) on mine :D HTH Dan
  20. I think Mike Groves has/had the latest version on his car - not sure though. It's an excellent piece of kit and I've seen it in action on a 1/4 mile track - bloody quick upshifts! The latest itteration is probably worth having although the price is quite high.
  21. I've owned a US-spec 1995 NSX-T (back in the late 90s when I was based in the US) and can very easily state that they are in a completely different class to our Z32s. NSXs were race-bred and at the forefront of technology (at the time). I'd have one again and even considered it a couple of months ago when a very nice black 3.0 coupe came up for sale locally. Despite the fact that I don't have the finances to own one the funny thing is that it would have cost about half of what I pay now in insurance cost and the car (NSX) is younger, more powerful and more expensive to fix! Go figure! I've got quite a few NSX clients as part of my DTA business and for a lot of them the "next step up" is a Lambo Murcielago ... I suggest that if you're serious about buying an NSX (and have the bank balance to cope with the running expenses) that you have a look around their pitch at this year's JAE show (I think they're co-exhibiting with the S2000 boys again). Last year they had a rare-as-rockinghorse sh*t NSX-R on display. It was subsequently sold for an undisclosed sum in the region of £100K! Dan BTW - although the market price of NSX's is coming down somewhat, expect to pay between £20k - £30k for a well looked after 98+ model. Anything less than that will either be a shed or high mileage and abused car.
  22. I've had some luck in the past using a spanner with a "bend" in it and tackling the job from underneath the car. Lots of WD40 or penetrating oil and a rubber hammer (to hit the spanner and then yourself when that doesn't work). Done this on three Zeds to date although I can't get my own O2's off for love nor money (not even love and a giant extension bar ... oh errr ...) Dan

    FYI: Genuine Nissan Consults used to cost in the region of £7k plus a full day's training for the spanner monkey who's going to look at it and go "doh ... what's code 55?" It's a very user unfrienly tool and requires specialist tools & knowledge to operate it. As the purchase price of a Consult is so high we've found that Nissan franchise garages are buying our ConZult instead and love it! Yes, the price of our ConZult is currently £265. However, I'm organising a group buy this week with a start price of £240 (based on 5 units ordered) so keep your eyes on the GB section if you want one. Dan

  25. Hi DaveG, I sell both the stainless steel hardpipe kits (ex-Smithy) as well as full silicone intake kits. S/S: £225 + £8 postage Silicone: £168 + £8 postage (blue, red, black, yellow and included all the s/s fixing bands) The company I use for the silicone pipes has already done the tooling for it and so it is going to be cheaper than when someone else has to do it.
