  3. Iain, hi mate, yeah that the sound, reminds me of the sound little fans in PC's made when gone fubar Cheers Rich
  4. Hi Guys, I've done loads of searches with the above words and have got loads of answers, however, i dont seem able to find out if the gearbox oil is the same oil thats in the engine sump. Also how you change the oil is a bit sketchy, anybody got some clear instructions on how to do this? (Pics would help). Any help will be appreciated Rich
  5. Hi Guys, Got a strange noise in the cabin. it starts when you click the key to ign, once started, it still remains, and when you switch it off the noise eases off slowly. The noise is similar to the noise you would hear with fluid going through a pump but the pump bearing has broken up. Any ideas? Rich
  6. Thanks Dave, it must be the Power light it refers to as nothing flashes and the A/T hold light works. Cheers Rich
  7. Hi, found some info on a diagnostic test on Autos, it kept referring to the A/T light. now i'm pretty stupid nowadays with old age, but can someone either tell me where it is or why i dont have one rich
  8. Hey Marty, Drove the zed around this pm and went to the garage in melbourn whom i know the owner quite well, asked if i could pop it on his MOT lift. NP he said, when it got up high enough, i checked out the sensor at the end of gearbox. Found the sensor and Visually it looked okay. Dam!!! Carried on driving and what i found was different to what i/we were told. Put it in "2" position and drove away. As it drove away i definitely heard a change, first to second, Great i said, however once i put it into "D" the bloody thing never changed again, just stayed in second. I'll start a proper thread about this , but thought i'd let you know. I'll pm you to arrange a get together so you can have a look Cheers
  9. Not you Marty..the guy i bought it off!! he was called martin...
  10. How do you know that... Do you know Martin? Rich
  11. sorry , i'll post some snaps later when/if it stops raining
  12. Well not that a lot of you knew that i'd gone, but i'm now a Zed owner Again. It feels much nicer that the MR2 i drove around in my hiatus. So what sort of beast have i got now i hear you ask, after selling my TT 400 Bhp (sort of) with 2" lowered suspension and 14psi boost jets...Well its a N/A std car with some replacement exhaust. So i know have to start going through the motions of adding steering wheel, glow dials, LED display, Car PC, and the list goes on. Just wish i hadn't sold all the parts of the ZED i had stocked up, could really do with them...never mind. Only problem at the moment as i see it, is the speed sensor switch is not working properly, so the car only has gear 2 and 3 (its an Auto) Trouble is trying to see the darned thing (its right at the back of the auto box, underneath every thing. tried accessing last night but just couldn't get it up high enough, jacking the car up as well didn't help either. I'm off to see a local garage to see if he'll stick it up his so i can get a better position to see whats what. I've Read JeffTT's write up, and i do only hope its a case of sticking it in further. I'll let you all know how it goes but if any of you auto guys have had similar probs, let me know what your resolve was. Rich
  13. Jeff, just a quick question. When Vodkashots and me sorted out our passenger one, it appears the the exit part of the tube that goes through from the inside to the outside, drains into the inner wing??? Is this right or a) did we get it wrong or b) its supposed to be like this and has catered for it Cheers Rich
  14. Well what i like about the WM7 phone is that they have looked out of the box, not tried to copy the i-phone user interface, but have come up with one that is really intuitive and fresh. Rich
