Hi guys, well i finally sold my gearbox damaged germanic pile of crap called a BMW to 2 latvian guys from sheffield. So with the sale done we started searching the auto websites for a decent Zed, Easier said than done, good ones to expensive, bad ones to cheap. Then on some obscure auto sale site was an advert, no picture, but an interesting description and best of all, just up the road in wisbech. Finally, a Zed for sale that wasn't in Scotland or the West Country. Next day, pictures supplied, post code in hand, off i go. As soon as i saw it i knew i would buy it, but i played my poker face, prodding, scratching, smelling, feeling.. and that was just on me. As soon as i heard those magic words "i'll knock off......" the deal was done. Deposit given, went home. Next day he drives it down for me and its mine. Well unfortunately I had to do a deal with the bm, ended up with a Mazda 3, 2.0 sport plus some cash. So is this the end of an era.. I have to decide what to do with the zed in the garden, I was almost there , if only the auto box I bought worked, don't know if I can go through it again, what with my health getting worse, when we had that pollution come over, i had 2 angina attacks, not funny. Maybe "sky high" was going a bit far, but a few years ago i'm sure there were more in the mid range 2K - 3K than in the high range, and those 2K ones were decent looking cars.

Graham, good spot, its a starting bid though, could go anywhere, and i have to say, is it me or have zed prices gone sky high over the last few years, when i looked on Piston heads years ago, 20 - 30 zeds came up, with the majority reasonably priced, now there's 6, and not one in my price range. My 380 bhp TT i got a few years ago was a monster, great car, only £1400 bargain. i'll put a bid in, see how it goes. Cheers Graham Rich

Hi Guys, i have sold my BMW and am now in a position to by a Zed, i shall put the obligatory wanted in the classified section but thought i'd start it off with a Thread, So i'm looking for a LWB pref a NA but would consider a turbo, Would prefer Auto but would also consider Manual. I need the car to be a runner with some tax/mot. I've got about £1500 so if you know of anyone or have one yourself, drop me a line. Regards Richard

Trying to sell a car on ebay, When i get to the "continue" button it comes back with this error. Where am i supposed to put this email address, there is nowhere on the car form. Anyone got any ideas?, google doesn't seem helpful. Regards rich

Hi, been using the new method of adding parts for sale, and noticed a quirk, when you add an attachment, or get an error in posting, when you go back to your post, some of the selection you have made (delivery, listing length..) have reset. Most annoying. is this known? if not add this to your bug list. Regards rich

Okay, i know you're all expecting a garage load of spares from me for sale, but i'm going to have to knock that one on the head straight away, sorry. i only have a few items but quality makes up for quantity.. I'm still grateful for the chance to sell them, sorry its been a few days but things are... up and down at the moment. Before i do actually put something up for sale i need to know a couple of things. 1, How do you.... understand that the old sale/wanted/cars for sale are locked, but i cant see how to start a new thread in that classified section. 2, is there any way to differentiate whether a post is a parts for sale, car for sale or parts wanted at the top level, it would be nice. Apart from that, once i find out how to post one, i'll put a few bits up. Rich

I Think you are right ted, and in all honesty its the right stance to take, and for all those members who say "its only ten quid.." try sitting in my shoes (whoops, mixing metaphors) its so frustrating and difficult, especially since the "bedroom tax" came along, However i now find out some mystery member has paid my subscription for me. So to whomever it was , i thank you, truly, its a very generous action, normally not seen in todays society, So lets draw a line here and get on with other , more pressing things Thanks once again to .. Well , not that my finances is anybodies business, but making the adjustment from a £70K/year job as Strategic IT manager to living on Benefits is not easy, I never thought i'd be in a position where £10 would be so important to me. Now, selling on Ebay is easier as they don't require any money upfront, so once a sale is made i can pay the fee, not quite the same here where money is required upfront. So Gary, as membership sec. if you could temporarily "renew" my account to allow selling only, when i make a sale i would target the first ten pounds for my renewal. I've been a member on and off, paid and unpaid for over 10 years, I'm not going to do a runner, i couldn't anyway, not with my problems...so i think i'm good for it. Rich
