  1. I would remove the rad and flush it. then remove the thermostat and double check it, then flush the engine from the top hose so it runs out the lower hose, then reverse the flow. also i would remove the water plugs either side of the block, think it was 2 square ended plugs and flush the block again see how much comes out of the block itself that way. also i would disconnect the matrix and flush that and flush through the pipes from the matrix. I'm wondering if the pipe below the lower plenum from the heater matrix could be blocked, and another thing has anyone used radweld or gasket sealent when assembling the engine. After all that you might have a cooked mouse in one of the pipes blocking it lol. Good luck mate and will be watching this with interest.
  2. just to add to have you got a TT fuel pump and ecu or NA ones maybe a mix, and what about the gearbox ecu auto or manual
  3. Just a thought but you said you went from auto to manual, have you done the bypass for the neutral switch (i think that was it) as that will mess up the CAS timing
  4. I honestly could not confirm if it does but have read that it works.
  5. Why not just remove the fins out the rear of the TT PS pump then blank the pipe hole. There will then be no pressure created for the rear steering
  6. some very nice motors there, glad everyone had a good time.
  7. It looks like it was filled with radweld at some point in its past. think mine might be like that to.
  8. Use a battery through terminal Rose you can get them from demon tweeks it fits in the bulk head so saves you the problems of cutting the rubber seals
  9. The AIV units sit under the dirt shields in the front wings, they run to the exhausts and engine, sometimes you might hear a gurgling sound from the wing if so that is the unit. I think they are called air injection valves basicly help to cool the cats as far as i know. hope that helps
  10. Jeff has put kids and family are welcome Lee
  11. just a thought have the aiv's been removed, just thinking maybe the pipes to the exhaust are still open the atmosphere.
  12. ask Jeff to book it in, He might do it just for this meet

  15. Stunning car mate, I see you built it your self have you got a build thread ? looks like you gave it one hell of lot of TLC.

  17. box needs to come out again mate had the same thing happen with my wifes car.
  18. i used to live about five miles from a dump, told my insurance a rock flew up from a lorries tyre and smashed my screen, got the screen replaced and they brought the wrong tinted glass with them, lucky though the fitter cracked it as he fitted it and had to order a replacement the correct colour. worked out all right as i had time to sort a little bit of rust on the pillar.
  19. it might not have an external fog light, is possible that it has been wired in to the light cluster itself, instead of the whole top red unit being brake lights check and see if the right hand side inner one has been used as a fog light it has on mine.
  20. lovely one cheers mate, looking forward to seeing more pictures
