yeah reason for patience is its a spare engine for when i expected my original engine to go bang after 9 yrs of ownership, but i was collecting stuff over the 4 years, like weisico piston/eagle rods/cometic hgaskets/arp bolts/acl bearings/jwt 500 cams/ jwt valve springs/mike smith manifolds/jwt sports650 turbos/3" divorced down pipes/ mod variable timing cam pulleys/ etc lol :)

finally got all mi bits together after about 4 years off collecting performance parts, now assembly time yeeha!!!!!:tooth:

does anybody know if there is supposed to be a plate or baffle or nothing here in the picture,?? as I stripped it years ago and only now putting it together, i cant find owt in the manual?? rich

might be the maf plug is not connected if someone has been looking at the air filters lately

thanks Jorgen, yeah thats what i believed too but wan't sure on the ACL as I know sometime some after market manufacturers parts don't always work as well on some cars .. rich

hi jorgen, the reason i asked was i'm doing a full rebuild with forged pistons/rods/ jwt tubs cams etc and wondered what was the best option of bearings to use, seen as ive used the lead backed bearings before in other engines i have built, but was not sure which would make the bottom end bullit proof if possible, also to prevent less chance of failure.. but i know a lot of the evo guys use ACL, rich

I'm looking to see who's used which make or to find the best bearings, as i'm not sure which is the best option for the vg30dett, ACL look a good bearing with good reputation, but they only use one grade, Nissan use graded which need to be matched with plastisize (more acurate me thinks) Z1 use a different profile and machine the crank to use different bearings,,,too expensive what is the mostly recommended performance bearing used ???? rich

just to let people know beware of buying of this ebayer, my girlfriend won me some tein suspension £693 and have been given the runaround since dec 3 paid him instant, hardly any replies to email, no tracking order/ said in his last mail the courier had them and was back logged, just before xmas emailed since no reply,emailed again several times, now put claim in what a rip off,,, he is listed as nissanzx1965 ......................... based in elgin moray, so beware don't buy off him as he has ripped me off!!!:angry:

if ya take the drivers door card off and find the relay pack you will probably find a track burnt out, so just re-solder it and away ya go rich
