  1. Hi, Woke up around 1.00am to find our bed and the whole house shaking!...Quite scary!
  2. Hi, I took my old Z31 in to have the cambelt changed and when I went to collect it, I noticed a protruding lump in the bonnet! Luckily I saw it before paying and the garage admitted fault.Apparently an airconditioning fan had come on in the workshop and as the struts on the bonnet were a bit weak, it slammed shut onto a wrench that the mechanic had left on the top of the engine! I was annoyed, as the car had been resprayed only a few months before and the bodywork was excellent. They quickly had the bonnet repaired by the same bodyshop that I had used, so that the paint would match up...But still charged me for the cambelt change! Cheerz, Jez.
  3. Jason Plato gets to drive the new Nissan GT-R on tonight's 5th Gear! You can also "win" an R33 Skyline too!

  5. Hi, Don't forget that the Z32 model was originally built alongside the Z31 model in the latter part of 1988, so 1990 is some way down the production shedule! I think Nissan has a strange vin no system as well, so dating the car's isn't that simple. Jez.
  6. Hi Dave, He (Tony) phoned my house to ask a few things when I was out and of course my wife couldn't answer any of his questions and I was tied up with work. I gave him a folder with the car's paperwork in and it also contained a copy of your original advert, so he must have got your number from there! He travelled all the way from Southend to buy the Z...He could talk the hind leg off a donkey too!:D Must admit I'm starting to miss the car now, so I might just have to look for another! Jez.
  7. Hi Dave, Is it your latest car or the one you sold to me? Cheerz, Jez
  8. Hi, Just had a look at the Microsoft version and the overhead picture is about 8 years old, but if I switch to bird's eye view it's in the last 2 years!? Google earth was also about 8 years out of date, until recently for my area. My old black Z31 which I sold in 2000 to buy a Z32, could still be seen parked outside of where I worked at the time! I think it is also about 2 years out of date now though!
  9. Hi, If this incident happened on private land then you won't be covered as both your insurances will be invalid. If it was on the public highway then you should be ok! Jez.
  10. Hi, Thermostat faulty?.... and has your heater matrix been bypassed?
  11. I've always used Mike at MJP for Nissan parts for my Zeds, as you know He will send you the correct parts and they will arrive when He says they will too! Cheerz, Jez.
  12. Hi, Isn't the Cooper Works about 200hp, with similar performance to an Na Z32? Exhaust looks a bit puny though! ;)
  13. It was originally a 1983 Y plate before being restored for filming and put on an earlier plate....They're all talking about it on the Quattro forum!
  14. Hi, I think the Quattro used is actually a 1983 model, as a guy on Pistonheads reckons it's his old car! The first Quattro imports were LHD only as well. It doesn't really matter, as it doesn't affect the story and the Cortina used in Life On Mars was part 2000E and part GXL too!
  15. As it's set in 1981, perhaps DCi Hunt should drive a 280ZX though....with a nice red interior! I liked the Audi Quattro when it first came out, but got bored with the quattro tag being applied to everything by the end of the '80's!
  16. Hi, The DVLA say..... "Display a tax disc on the passenger side (kerb side) of the vehicle’s windscreen. If there’s no windscreen or you have a motorcycle or sidecar, display the tax disc on the kerb side of the vehicle."
  17. Jason Plato was driving it on Fifth Gear tonight...Said it needed about another 100bhp though!
  18. Remove!....Voted Keep by mistake though!
  19. Hi, I've owned a couple of Z32 NA manuals and both were decent examples that went quite well.I dare say that a poor example may not feel very fast, but then a poor TT running in safety boost probably wont either! You can still leave most modern cars behind in an NA, but some of the latest TDi style hot hatches may give you a hard time! Cheerz, Jez

Hi, As you have had some parts nicked off the car recently before, then it's likely that another 300ZX owner may have stolen it to cannibalise for parts? Although these cars are now worth very little, the type of person who can afford a cheap one, may have targeted your car, to improve their own shoddy example!
  21. I take it that neither are applying to go to Oxbridge then!? :p
  22. How about a pink VW Campervan, based on a Japanese microbus!.... http://www.algysautos.com/vw-mini-campers.html
  23. That's right...You'll be just another unwelcome whinging POM! :D
  24. The Chavtivity scene!.....
