  1. Hi, Received my pack today....Thanks. Jez.
  2. The 2 seaters look ok if they've had the suspension lowered , otherwise the swb car looks too high at the back!
  3. Be better with some twin sunroofs cut into the roof! :D
  4. Hi, I use this link for used cars on Autotrader..... http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/search/N-0/search_form.action
  5. Hi, Just unscrew your indicator lense and remove the indicator unit...You will then have easy access to the back of the bumper behind the foglight. Use a ratchet spanner to undo the bolts and remove the whole unit. You can then dismantle the light and remove the glass. It's quite straight forward and should only take about an hour in total! Have a look at this link for a photo description.......http://tech.aus300zx.com/fog/FogLights.html Cheerz, Jez
  6. Hi, The road going version of the R390 only had 350bhp from a normally aspirated V8, whereas the Race version had the VRH35L twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre dohc V8 engine which produced 550bhp. I remember reading an article in Autocar in the late '90s, about a guy who had bought one for £600,000 to use to go shopping in! Cheerz, Jez
  7. Hi, I think that the new Laguna looks very like the facelifted Citroen C5 from the back...The previous Laguna looked quite nice from the rear, a bit like an Alfa Romeo in fact! The Mazda 6 is very similar to the Honda Accord from the front and both models look better as estate cars, especially the Honda. Cheerz, Jez
  8. Hi, The last Z32 on the Z Club stand was Paul Willet's white stock UK TT car...The one which beat the 350z over a 3rd of a mile on Top Gear 350z vs 300zx ! Cheerz, Jez
  9. Hi, The Z Club used to have a stand at the NEC show and I even had my Z31 Turbo on the stand a few years ago! The Z Club don't do indoor shows any more however and it is a three/four day commitment now if your car is on a display. The MR2 owners club and other Japanese marques do have stands at the NEC show, so there's no reason that the 300zx club couldn't. Cheerz, Jez.
  10. Hi, I like the seats in this Maserati 4200GT!.....
  11. Hi, The armed guides that were carrying rifles, weren't to fend off wild animals but more likely to prevent them being kidnapped and killed by bandits! I like the point he was trying to make...that you don't need a 4x4 to go to Tescos!...But then Clarkson drives a Ford Range Rover and Volvo soft roader as well doesn't he? Top Gear is repeated on Weds evenings btw. Cheerz, Jez.
  12. Hi, Just do a search...It will provide the answer you're looking for...or not as the case maybe!! Cheerz, Jez.
  13. Hi, I saw a test in Fast Car magazine a few years ago, where they put 10K Boost into the engines of several hatchbacks and took HP readings before and after. It did increase the engine HP by up to about 5 HP or so, but I don't think I would risk using it on a 300ZX!? Cheerz, Jez.
  14. Hi, If it's homemade soup it's got to be leek and potato made with fresh veggies from my garden....If it's in a tin, then I prefer Heinz pea and ham!
  15. Trouble with the Veyron race was that as the aircraft was in the sky and the car was on the ground, it was difficult to tell who was winning...or if the whole thing had been rigged!;) Cheerz, Jez.
  16. Hi, I used to have laid up insurance cover for my old Z31 for the winter months...It was through AON insurance. It was about £60 a year! You could drive the car to and from an mot centre as well. Classic car insurance doesn't take into account no claims as it has to be for a second car and not your main daily driver. Cheerz, Jez
  17. Looks fake....As Premier footballers don't pay hardly any tax as they've all got offshore trust funds or Companies in Jersey which pay them a tax free salary! Cheerz, Jez
  18. Hi, Didn't think much of this week's Top Gear...too much waffle in the studio. Next week's looks ok though, as they embark on a drive through Africa in second hand 2 wheel drive cars! As there's been nothing on tv lately,I've been watching Top Gear repeats on Dave TV too!
  19. Hi, Here's a useful revue of the S2000 from the Pistonheads site... http://www.pistonheads.com/S2000
  20. Hi, Don't blame you...The S2K is a nice car as well, just heard that you need to rev them quite high to get decent progress...?
  21. Horsepower will give you the top speed but torque will give you the acceleration!;)...Don't think the S2K is that light either?
  22. Hi, The horsepower and particularly the torque figure of the S2K will be well down on your current TT at....237bhp and only 153 ft/lbs torque!
  23. Hi, Previous Z models such as the 280zx and z31 had much sturdier indicator levers. One thing I do like about Nissan indicators is that the stalk is on the right hand side instead of the left like European cars. Easier to change gear, indicate and steer at the same time!:D
  24. Hi, I took my Z to work today for a run and as it's not my daily car, I had to drive home in the dark in it for once! I had forgotten how bad the headlights are, but also isn't the indicator stalk a cheap and nasty item!? Flicking from dipped to main beam reminded me how out of place the indicator stalk seems to the rest of the controls...It's a really flimsy feeling piece of extruded plastic! Rant over;) Cheerz, Jez.
  25. Hi, To me the 2+2 shape is more balanced and I do need the rear seat for my daughter to travel in occasionally. The targa tops are also a must for me as they are an inherent part of the appeal...Your average car just doesn't have this feature and taking the targas out transforms the car on a summers day!(not often I admit!) If you're looking for a track day car or curcuit racer then I suppose the swb hardtop model may be more appealing, although Nissan preferred the lwb car for it's race cars as they were better balanced! I was once on my way to see a Z32 for sale, when I rang for further directions, the seller said he'd forgot to mention that it was a swb non targa car....I turned round and went home again!;) Cheerz, Jez
