  1. Hi, Don't forget the two bolts behind the light panels, as well as the four in the centre. I changed my centre panel the other week and didn't realise you need to remove more trim to access these bolts! Cheerz, Jez
  2. That's him!....And his salty gravy boats!
  3. Hi, Nissan technicians were originally quoted as saying that the real benefits of HICAS are only felt above 120mph!....And that they were happy with the handling of the standard car without it. So unless you tend to drive at quite high speeds everywhere or live in Germany on the Autobahns, it won't be worth fitting! Cheerz, Jez
  4. They were probably his best takings on a Sunday...Ever!! ;) ....I think that the Chef was ready to quit and take his gravy boats with him though!:D
  5. Car & Driver original Road Test of a US spec 222bhp 2 seater....So a 2+2 230bhp JDM model won't be far behind and the 2 seater JDM model should be the same or faster! Obviously after 15 years, these figures may be slower, but you can only compare like for like with other car's original road test figures. Cheerz, Jez
  6. Hi, The NA is a good choice for your first 300ZX.I've owned a couple and I find the manual version a decent car to drive and quite fast enough in daily use. Although lower powered than the TT, it still has as much HP as a lot of newer coupes on the market! Specifications 3.0litre 24v V6 DOHC variable valve timing 230 bhp 200 ft lbs torque Performance Top speed 150mph 0-60mph 6.7 secs. 0-100mph 18.6 secs. standing 1/4 mile 15.0 secs.
  7. Hi, Good to meet a few 300ZX owners and put faces to names!...Hope you didn't mind an old ZClub member tagging along!;)...I really should subscribe over here too! I've posted some photos of the cars lined up outside the first pub, in my gallery on the Z Club site. My Gallery...300zx Nov meet Still no sign of food poisoning ....Hopefully!:D Cheerz, Jez.
  8. Hi, The NA is ok to drive in the winter but obviously be careful on wet roundabouts! If it still has Japanese spec tyres, you'd be best to change them to a European compound tyre, as the Jap tyres tend to have lower grip levels especially when it's cold!
  9. Of course I was confusing SAE gross and nett! Cheerz, Jez
  10. Hi, The US SAE figure should be higher as the figure is a bench figure without any ancillaries fitted. I think you're thinking of the European PS measurement, which is usually a few hp less! e.g. 280din=276ps Cheerz, Jez.
  11. Hi, Do you have to remove your engine to fit a new loom? Cheerz, Jez.
  12. Hi, I like the Stillen lip spoiler too!....I believe Mike at MJP can get them also!?
  13. Yes but wasn't your turbo seized...Pete!?:D The later facelift turbo model is a decent car and has reasonable performance if mechanically ok!....It obviously hasn't the speed of a Z32 TT, but will give an NA Z32 a run for it's money and has better mid range performance from the turbo engine! The styling is very early '80s US and is not to everyones taste though! Cheerz, Jez

Hi, In the US market, Road & Track originally recorded 148mph for a 2 seater manual NA and Car & Driver recorded 143mph. In Australia, Wheels magazine recorded a max of 153mph in a 2+2 NA! Cheerz, Jez
  15. Hi, Might be because the 2+2 version had a more evenly balanced weight distribution...53 percent front/47 rear as opposed to 55/45 for the 2 seater! I think the Z32 loses some of it's character when specified as a base model, targa-less coupe. If you want a lightweight track-day car then a Z32 is going to be the wrong choice anyway! Cheerz, Jez
  16. Hi (from the Z Club), Recently bought another 2+2 NA Targa after a 5 year absence and would want any other model!...Love the targa tops! Wasn't the NA 2 seater hardtop car just the poverty spec version of the 300ZX?...A bit like a 1.3 2 door Cortina, without a sunroof? ;) Cheerz, Jez.
