70mph on UK roads ;)

I've read its about 140 but I don't really see why it wouldn't be the same as the turbo's 155 (limited). Mine will only do 112 though since its limited ;)

There should be a little sticker in the bottom left hand corner of the windscreen - that is the speed limiter. Be carefull as you remove it or it might change into a rev limitter ;) Best thing to use is tre-semme (or whatever it is) hair conditioner :)

Wrong

The NA will do about 140mph.

The TT is not limited to 155mph and can do more like 175/180mph.

They have different top end speeds because of the different final drive ratios.

Wrong

UK TT's were limited to 155, JDM were 112 mph

Your all Wrong!!! Out of the Box the JDM's TT's Are limited to 112MPH, The UKTT's are limited to 165MPH not 155MPH

my N/A 170mph....j the gun's TT...205mph.....

..

Final drive ratio! now that makes sense. So why did they change that then? To give the NA a bit more acceleration maybe? Sorry if that doesn't make sense I'm not too technically minded.

And the JDM 112 limiter, Isn't that one of 2 limitors? i.e. if you de restrict the 112 it's still limited to 155 or whatever speed it is.

My UK car was restricted to 159 when read on a conzult.

Hi,

In the US market, Road & Track originally recorded 148mph for a 2 seater manual NA and Car & Driver recorded 143mph.

In Australia, Wheels magazine recorded a max of 153mph in a 2+2 NA!

Cheerz,

Jez

I read somewhere that is you can get your zed TT to 7000rpm in 5th gear it will hit 195mph.. is this true?

No, not true.. If you we're on 19" Wheels then maybe to gear it up and de-limited the standard ecu but no way on standard 16" wheels... The final drive gear ratio will only allow you to reach 176.2MPH absolute max...

Manual gearbox. TT Ratios

5th 186mph 7200rpm

Can't believe this thread has gone on so long with no mention of speed holes
