Autobox Oil working Temp ... What is it?
Hi, I have replaced my OEM radiator with an aftermarket bigger better unit and fitted a separate MOCOL oil rad unit for the purpose of stopping the Auto Tranny frying itself stupid. (I also have SAW which does not help!) What is the working oil temp for a TT AUTO Tranny and should I fit a (probably high temp) OILSTAT so that it gets up to speed first. I believe auto tranny oil is happy at around 140 degrees, but would like that confirmed by a guru. Thanks again. :tooth:

Is there a built in Oilstat in the TT or...
Hi, The TT has a small pathetic oil cooler - is it small because Nissan were happy to pump cold oil without an oilstat and a bigger oild cooler would have needed an oilstat - or is there a secret hidden oilstat somewhere that I do not know about? I have dumped the OEM oil-cooler and fitted a MOCOL and I have an OILSTAT (wax thermostat kicks in at 80 degrees) to fit but do not want to reinvent the wheel so to speak! :punk: Any help/advice appreciated.

Broken caliper mount - welded repair?
Yes - Many times - as long as the goods are not as advertised or proven defective or mis-described - the paypal buyer protection system works ok - (PayPal Buyer Protection helps you if you don't receive your item or the item is significantly different from its description in the seller's listing) - up to a 1000 euros. :cool3: - it's just the hassle factor matey. :gun_bandana:

Weight of a Border Fuel Rail??
Well yes and no - with the famous paypal - print your own weight/label system [example] you can create a label/charge for any weight and stick it on the box yourself - it does/should get checked at the post office (but not 100% gauranteed) - and then only if it's a recorded delivery - and even then... I am sure there are ways around [sending an empty box with an incorrect weight recorded] if one is so inclined - sadly. :taz:

Best way of flushing out the upper plenum ...
Cheers guys will attack it with carb cleaner and a toilet brush then ;-)) If the head of the brush comes off in the middle of the plenum somewhere - will it effect performance much???? ;-)) ;-))

Best way of flushing out the upper plenum ...
There are many commercial peeps who will do it for you - but expect to pay around £400.00. Try Gavin Sowter at GS Polishing I know he has done a few (http://www.gspolishing.co.uk/) - I have never used him though so...

Fuse box wiring relocation
It has a shiny splash cover now and is sealed up with clear silicon where the wiring enters/exits. This is a bit extreme and currently untested as yet so... (as in bits of car still in the post so it has not moved for a while like this). ;-))

Braided hose is this stuff good or bad
Think Automotive are also very good for those in Surrey/Middx. http://www.thinkauto.com/

Braided hose is this stuff good or bad
Braided with PTF internals are no use IMHO - it's gotta be rubber and 'AN' - otherwise you are defeating the object of using braided hoses in the first place (and your limited as to the end fittings you can deploy) - that being (hopefully) that you fit them once and never have to worry about them again! (OH - and they are shiny).
