Cat removal
Me too - I bought the new turbo elbows/decat delete kit from ebay as well and it fitted like a glove - very happy with the quality - took me all weekend with the car on jack stands, that included 3 hours trying to get the O2 sensors out - gave up in the end and just bought new ones! AIV's out at the same time. :)

DIY Plenum Polish
Not a great deal of time this weekend but managed to grab 3 or 4 hours on Sunday to get some stuff done. The belt is on, the cam covers have been powder coated and are ready to fit - just waiting SS bolts. I am still playing with fuel rails so thats going nowhere right now. Will put the front water pipes back on this week, unorthodox pulley is on. Need to buy new shorter belts for water, alternator and steering pump. HICAS is completely out, EGR is deleted, Plenum water bypass is done and the pcv re-route is complete. AIV's are gone, carbon cannister is gone PRVR has gone, CATS are gone! Fitted new O2 sensors, so just awaiting plenum polish to be 100% ready and for the CAS to come back from Mr Chrome and then the plenum pull can complete. Then I start to re-plumb the FMIC, fit the new RAD/electric Fan and the new Oil and Tranny rads which are going where the old SMIC's used to live. Couple of quick pics... Still a lot to do/spend - but I can see some light at the end of the tunnel now. Thanks for looking. :hyper:

SURVEY! What is the temperture of your ...
...Upper Plenum when your car is at it's optimum working temp? Just note if it is as a result of driving around town or hard motorway usage? If anyone/everyone interested could take the temperture (Say - where the "Twin Turbo" sticker lives) on there TT - that would be fab! Or at least make a note of the exact place where they are reading the temp. :o Any help appreciated. :) Andy

Rustoleum now at Homebase...
Well not as an alternative to a re-spray Noooooooooooooo lol BUT for other components yes for sure - the Rustoleum Universal is a fab paint that covers anything in 1 coat, the only catch being you can only add subsequent coats within the hour - or after 48 hours! Otherwise it's wrinkles all the way dude!!

- Completed my own Engine Bay skins at last..
I have been working on these since MAY!!! Finally finished them - here are a couple of pics of the side covers in primer: The large firewall cover that joins the two is still not done - close - but not quite. These will be painted the same colour as the car eventually - either RED again - or Black - can't decide. Or if Chrissy P could actually get back to me - Completed my own Engine Bay skins at last..
