  1. cool, yes please, is it something i can just unbolt and bolt the new one on.i asume its on the back end of the metal pipe poking through the bulk head into the engine bay. i've pulled the flexible hose of said solid pipe and sealed the end and my brakes are now working. but i'm not going to be driving far without fixing the clutch
  2. my clutch is leeking air somewhere near the pedal and causing the clutch to be heavy and the brakes to not work. what parts do i need? is it a whole pedal/master cylinder or just a seperate servo bit? ta
  3. are burgandy and burgundy both banned?
  4. theyre both equally slow ones at the moment as theyre both broken :(
  5. i don't know, got told off today for calling Andy Isherwood's burgundy. other options we decided were dark red , maroon, dark metalic red, dog knob red, or black cherry red
  6. well there arnt many and at least 2 others were at japfest. and your not alowed to call it burgandy any more
  7. nope, i was on the m3 at 6.45 am ish, but that was north bound and that was only because i forgot i was going to castle coombe and got on the wrong road
  8. gold plating lowers the contact resistance of teh conection, not much good if teh thing your connecing to isn't gold plated. much more important in a scart lead is the cable, cheap ones are lots of single cables with an overall screen, better cables have individual screens around the video and audio cores. this improves teh image lots especially if watching RGB signals as it reduces crostalk in the cable.
  9. i'm sure he said blue leads to make it go faster
  10. hmmmm, well leaving work at 4am, i'll be there about 6am and asleap by 9.30am :p or if i have a kip first it's gonna be nearer miday before i'm there can't function on only 2 hours sleep , need at least 3, i'm getting old
  11. whats the earliest you can get there? what time are people getting there? what time do we need to get there to beat the queue? once the queue starts is there a time after which it dies down? where abouts is our stand? i'm working friday night and am thinking of going straight there or having a sleep and going latter
  12. it is also important to make all the dimensions of the box different as this helps stop internal reflections building up into nasty sounding vibrations, so dont build a cube, build a rectangle. also sloping sides will help. make sure you include some acoustic wadding / damping inside the box (sort of like a nylon sheep) or some sound deadaning stuff as this will also help stop reverberation as legrath said, important to check the recomended volume for your speaker or it wont sound as good as it should make sure the speaker is fixed firmly to the box fix the box to the car (no point in the speaker staying still and the box mooving use some decent wood maybe some internal bracing to make the box rigid
  13. would you take a part exchange for a fiesta?
  14. the uk clocks work without chipping. chipping the ecu removes "the your going too fast boing noise" and removes the speed limiter. i removed the converter from mine as it was giving power steering problems. i'm going to just change the dial of the speedo to one that reads up to 120mph instead of 180 kmph
  15. well, my brain is cooked but i'll try asuming you meen kmph to mph speedo converter "chip" with 4 wires red +ve black 0volt yellow and white??? input and output + and 0volt can easily be picked up from the screws on the back of the speedo top centre i think they should be labled on the circuit bourd then you just need to cut one wire on the input conector (where the conector is depends on year of car) and conect both ends of the cut wire, one to the input and one to the output from memory the conector is to the right as you look at the back of the speedo and the wire is one or 2 up from the bottom. butdon't take my word for it till i've checked or someone else replies fix it to something so it doesnt ratle
  16. cheers guys for the various ideas, will have a play when i get back from z008 i don't think it's pads as it was a sudden change from good braking to poor braking
  17. idling fine, the peddle feels normal, everything feels normal, it just doesnt stop the car like it should/used to. so i was thinking that the fluid isnt leaking or the presure would feel wrong. pumping doesnt help. no didn't look any further, put it in my garage and got the spare zed out
  18. ianl replied to a post in a topic in Events - UK
packed the zed broke the zed packed the spare zed fingers crossed, see you tommorow :) .
  19. went out today in my convertable (NA import), went to town and back and all was good, parked up for 20 minutes and went out again and found my brakes dont work properly anymore. i'm farely sure they are stock, but theyve always been fairly good, much better than my uk tt even after it had bigger discs. i usume this is because it is a newer car (95) the brakes still do something, they still slow the car somewhat but nowhere near a safe amount. it feels like i've lost the power assistance. similar to switching the engine off whilst moving and trying to stop any ideas why it might do this? where do i look first ? a fuse? a pipe?
  20. er ? why, i thought we were meant to start the car, go for a cup of tea, then come back and drive it?
  21. swz did my manual conversion and i've had no problems since
  22. or dry solder joints on the speedo
