i was just thinking when i posted my japfest photos in the members only section, would we get more new members coming to meets and possibly subscribing if they could see event photos. i don't think i would have bothered going to my first meet if i hadnt seen photos of other meets surely it would also help show our cars off to others. also i posted my photos partly so people who were on the track had photos of their cars, if half the people on teh track can't see there photos then it's kind of pointless, i certainly havnt got time to cross reference photos with members that are subscribed, so it leaves me tempted not to bother i totally understand the need to have some sections reserved for paid up members, but it strikes me with this one we might be missing some free advertising and publicity

the first run was slow due to the weather the second run was a lot faster, not seen any viseos of that yet in the second run i didnt actually look at the speedo but i was doing 6k to 6.5k revs most of the way round 3rd gear for corners and 4th gear for straights. so was probably doing between 90mph and 130mph. Jimmy, Marco and Paul were all going faster than that

the cheapest easiest and most common conversion involves leaving the japanese dials in place, they read up to 180kph. the converter alters the signal sent to the speedo from the gearbox so that the speed shown is in miles not km oil lights: they have 2 oil lights, one is diff oil, cant remember what the other one is. neither as far as i know is actual engine oil, that is shown on the oil gauge only. as far as i know this is the same on all models

if they only have one scale that goes up to 180, they are japanese clocks. they may or may not have been converted. and the person that converted them may or may not have altered the milage to corespond. if they have the converter fitted then both the speed and milage will read in miles converter will be attached to back of speedo small black box or heatshrink package with 4 wires , spliced into loom to speado

from 1995 the turbo cars didnt have a turbo gauge conversion to mph done by: 1. converter box soldered on back of speedo, usually put a mph sticker on face of clocks, dial will read to 180 2. fit UK clocks (obvious as will show both kph and mph) 3. change dial to one that reads up to 120mph

to be honest, i dont see the atraction of a chromed butt plug, once it starts to wear a bit the chrome starts to flake, and thats going to chafe. stainless steel butt plugs for me, but i would be open to carbon fibre too
