  1. Not too sure, but probably not far from the truth - look at the extra power sport 500's give at 15psi. TBH I'd think any upgrade will unless you keep the boost down. Was your 20g post just to wind Ian up then :nono:
  2. Just be careful Mark, stock turbos will max out stock injectors at ~15psi, and 15psi on your turbos is much more air than 15psi on stock. Make sure you aren't getting any det, but I'd look at getting 555's if I were you.
  3. Cheers Mike, was the set up OK in the higher gears?
  4. Lol, mine reckons she's going to start wearing ear plugs in mine
  5. You really want the same dia through the silencer as the pipes otherwise you get big entry losses unless you taper it down on the way in. 2" is still pretty small though. Should be OK if it's a twin system though.
  6. Try talking to David, he's the webmaster at http://www.ztechz.net he has them but he's building a typical yank drag type car.
  7. 2 inch is pretty restrictive for a single, most twin systems are 2". You really want at least 3.
  8. Contact Leon at Alunox for the downpipes, he has jigs for them and the quality will probably be better. If it was me, I'd be looking at the 530bb's or 500's with decent manifolds. Should give stock lag with better top end.
  9. Worth a shot, but he only does it in groups of 3 anyway I think from when I last spoke to him
  10. Got a new one made for mine bu ALUNOX in north wales yesterday. Bit outrageous, 2x2.5 front pipes into single 4" right through with only a tiny 14" x 5" diameter silencer. This bloke is a proper craftsman, not just a jock with a bender the quality is superb. Will post some pics soon. Single exit's definately sound best. Also, he should be able to mod yours if you just want the tails changed. His no is 078111 96727
  11. It's about £400 for the session. The guy's supposed to be a driving god, some people I know who really can drive have done it and still reckon it was worth the cash.
  12. The ECU dosen't really learn all that much, only some compensation figures for fuelling adjustment in closed loop mode (when AFR > 14.7:1). It might run a bit lumpy for a while, but shouldn't make a huge difference. The procedure is the same though, the JWT ECU's are just a stock one with a different set of parameters in them.
  13. And if you lower the back too much it'll sit on the bumpstops and handle terribly. TBH the standard(ish) ride height is about right.
  14. Worth a shot. For the sensor, the oly way really is to change it I guess.
  15. Blocked relief valve in the filter? Or dodgy sender?
  16. You won't unless it was broken. It's just one less thing to go wrong, and some space in the engine bay!
  17. Yeah, that looks Ok to me.
  18. Seems to be a rare one unfortunately (needs to be 93-95 phase 2, 8 bit) thinking it's best to use conZult to pull one out if anyone has.
  19. Lol! Usually try not to damage the ECU. Let me know if you ever get a 93+ (AIV Delete) Auto chip out, be a good base code to have.
  20. Or the black smoke belching out the back ... You can get a wideband O2 for around £150 if you're prepared to build it yourself.
  21. The best way is to cut all the legs so you can remove the body of the chip first, that way you won't lift any tracks. Prise it up with a plastic lever that's pretty wide from one end. You can use a little acetone (or nail varnish remover) to soften up the laquer a bit first.
  22. I did this a while back, search fro HICAS elimination or similar, there's some pics on there. If I were doing it again, I'd just loop the send to the HICAS solenoid straight back to the tank, much easier than any other way. I used an NA pump, but you need all the brackets and a belt and it's a pain to do. Does save a few kilos though. Mine didn't have the cooler yuo mention, but it is a Jap. The hardest part is removing the hard lines under the car, there's a bracket by the LHS engine mount which is a nightmare to get off. Do yourself a favour and buy a small pipe cutter from B&Q, much easier to chop it up that way. Good luck! There you go: POST
  23. Yeah, you're right. They're Ok though!
  24. There's a supercharged 360bhp one in a recent EVO mag. Apparently it's excellent. It's a stillen charger but can't remember which company over here did it.
