Blitz SBC ID Boost controller
If you can bring it to kidderminster I can do it for you, shouldn't take long if you've already done the wiring etc.

Who's SWB silver slick top was at the SE RR day!
Yeah, or stick your finger against the gap where the targa meets the a pillar then corner really hard - you can feel the gap close up. I honestly think that's probably the reason why the Z's handling is so shite, more to do with not having a solid base to bolt things to that just weight.

HKS GT2530's
Interesting read, be good to see what it's like when you're finished. The manifolds Leon's doing should be similar to pentroof so the gains from them should be comprable.

Damn right. As long as it's manual obviously ...

HKS GT2530's
Cheers. I'm guessing without the manifolds TD05 would be much worse, so 2530 with manifolds should be OK. Looking at the dyno charts on TT net, I think close to stock might be an exaggeration. The problem for me with big tubs is more the on/off power lag than the spoolup that you get if you just hold the power on. On some cossies with big turbos it seemed that if you lifted it took an age to get boost back, even if you were in the band where they were already spooled up.

TVR Cerbera?
Had a lend of one for a few hours once (red rose one). Very nice car. Brakes were awsome. Handling seemed good but twitchy and a bit unforgiving (not really pushing it so hard to gauge). Interior to die for but didn't feel all that well screwed together TBH. I'd try the owners club for advice, they're a friendly lot (but VERY biased).

HKS GT2530's
Not after anything big, I'm a back-road pilot so 16g's etc are no use to me. I think you're right, the 2530's don't come with manifolds, but Alunox are jigging some up on my spare engine at the minute, so should be ready if I ever get round to buying tubs. Not really in the market at the minute, was just out of curiosity. Are PE1420 really bigger?! I can get sport 530's very cheap, so was probably going to go that route if I ever decide to upgrade. Be interesting to see what the americans get from them in terms of response.

HKS GT2530's
Anyone been in a Zed with these on? Was in an R32 skyline that GPS built with them today, and TBH it was fekking awsome. Not too laggy and mental top end. Very impressed. Just wondering if on a Z with decent manifolds it'd be similar.

Wideband O2's arrived
Lets you monitor fuel/air ratio on the move. More a tuning tool than anything else really.

Wideband O2's arrived
For anyone interested in building one, done 2 this week. Allow for about 5 hours to construct it. You need a very fine iron and if you're not good at soldering I'd just buy the pre-built.

Wideband O2 sensor/KnockLink Installation
Cheers Paul, thought so. These one are self heated, so don't think it matters too much. Thor put them at the end of your exhaust and they still ran OK.

Wideband O2 sensor/KnockLink Installation
No probs mate. Did Lucie kill you when you got back, or was she too impressed by the kit ;) Just been thinking we might need to gut the cats before we put the sensor in, sure it needs to be before them. I've heard it makes these single exits sound terrible though ....

Boost controller advice
Cheers Chris. Profec B about 2 hours, E01 about 4 depending on where you want it mounted. Drop me a line if you want it fitted, I'm in kidderminster so pretty close.

Maximum revs
Yeah does seem to be sometimes. Generally best just to use the torque and slug through it that way but sometimes you need the lower gear for breaking on the way in.

Big Thanks To John Dixon
No problem mate. Might just have converted you to the manual option too eh? Oh, and I haven't got a PM!

Wideband O2's arrived
Don't really know much about the other one TBH Paul. I went for this one beacuse it has a linear wideband output ideal for connection to E01 etc for display. Also, it has simulated narrowband output, so you can connect that to your ECU and do away with the existing O2's if you want - that leaves 2 nice holes in the manifold for some EGT's. It can also log additional sensors and thermocouples so you can record Lambda, MAf volts, rpm, EGT, charge temp etc for tuning purposes. It also uses a Bosch LSU sensor not NTK so it's a good bit cheaper to replace when it breaks (NTK option is offered).

Kidderminster Black Z
Seen it round a few times, flashed lights at each other. Anyone on here ??

Noble M14
OOOOoooooo maybe my Noble fund is for one of those now

Maximum revs
SPL Parts?? They do almost anything. If not I have a friend in Japan who might be able to get some stuff like that.

Favourite members zed?
I kinda like function over form so anyone with a clean, tuned slicktop SWB TT with no lairy kits etc.
-
Maximum revs
I've got mine set to 7750rpm with 555cc injectors. You're right in as much as you're better changing up sooner, but I want to keep it out of the way incase I hit it in a 2nd gear corner or something where you REALLY don't want an upshift or cut.

Wideband O2's arrived
http://www.wbo2.com If you want to wait a couple of weeks, I'll have them built and can let you know how much hassle it is. You can decide if you want to order the pre-built then.

Wideband O2's arrived
Only about £200 if you build it yourself, £230 with the display (I don't need it as I'm using my E01). Only need one too as I've got a single exit :) :) Andy, it's not your birthday yet is it? Didn't do the GB as not enough people were interested. Saving was only about £10 anyway.

Wideband O2's arrived
 Wideband O2 sensors from Tech Edge, real time AFR monitoring from inside the car with logging facility. Knock link is a detonation sensor interface that shows up det

Now just got to build the buggers. Will post some results when it's done, sure Leigh will too. :D
