  1. renewed months back... i know the site is run by volunteers  ... but would like one at some point :)
  2. Im getting a FMIC as i have blown my stock ones.... i have a HKS winging its way to me, but after doing some research i found that some FMIC (not the HKS one) mess the turbo feeds up, as in stock they work: Left turbo right bank Right turbo left bank apparently to do with balancing etc...... so my question is...... what other intercoolers keep the standard flow? or is it just HKS? or have a fooked up and miss read something? Cheers again :duffer:
  3. there is a huge diff with the Nos on, gives me loads more BHP and TRQ, the foggers are in just beffore the intake so they are having no affect on the IC's so wont be cooling them, i think i was just unlucky and had a dodgy intercooler!
  4. Iv had the Nos in for about 2 years now with no problems..... it shouldn't make a diff and i don't think it was what damage the intercooler, but may have played a part as the turbos spool up stoopidly quick and i have a de-cat so maybe the intercooler cant take such a rapid increase in psi? im praying to the car god's that the rest of the car is ok as i haven't had a chance to really look yet! ill put some pics of the intercooler up when i get it off

well i blew my bloody intecooler up this weekend!... though the whole engine had gone it made that much noise! Iv got a HKS FMIC on the way but it wont be hear till thur so il have to work quick to get her ready in time!
  6. Was having a play on sat with my Nos on and turbos up to 15 - 16 psi, was doing 70 (honest!) when the most almighty BANG and lost all power! boost gauge was all over the place and sounded as though the whole engine was tearing itself to pieces! limped to the hard shoulder and the cut out! had a look and couldn't see anything... so i thought i had shredded the engine... went to start her and she started the cut out straight away... managed to get home and had a good look at 1st light.. i have shattered the right hand intercooler!! (much to my relief!) and pushed the plastic mud guard onto my wheel (hence it sounded as though my engine was shreading itself) is this common? i though they where good for quite a bit of PSI??? lucky i bought a HKS FMIC off Nend last week (someone up there likes me)
  7. Spot on mate, just what i was after.. cheers
  8. Iv tried google etc... with no luck.. has anyone got a pic of a Z with my front bumper and a HKS FMIC fitted?

  10. im not looking to do anythink that bad and i can see your point! and i do honestly appreciate the concern! I love my Z and its all about having fun as far as im concerned, i think a flamer kit would be just that... a bit of fun! im not looking to impress anybody or melt the back of my car! iv spent far to much time and money on her to start doing stuff like that!
  11. yea i dont want anything that big! just be fun to scare my mates as they follow me into work!
  12. Each to there own mate... the exhaust gas's should push the flame from the car, wasn't looking for approval... just some technical info on it! Cheers mowgs, ill drop him a pm! :D
  13. I WANT ONE! but i dont want to mess my car up... this is (i think) the best kit i have found so far... but not to keen on the "The Flaming Exhaust Control Module regulates spark and un-burnt fuel release timing to allow your vehicle to pass the needed gases to the Flaming Exhaust Spark Unit as needed." coment..... any ideas? does it make the car over fuel? http://www.akamoto.co.uk/flaming-exhaust.asp
  14. very easy to fit and will cost about £2 i think! just go to a DIY shop and get some welding tips... job done.. or i think danny at DTA does proper ones.. i would get a after marked boost gauge as well though so you can see what boost you are running.
  15. right click pic open with..... paint when its up go to "edit" click "select all" go to "image" click "stretch/skew" change % to about 80 click "ok" then edit... cut Click File.. open new then shrink the white box that pops up by clicking bottom right corner and dragging it smaller click edit paste TA DA!! now save and away you go sound like a lot but will take u 10 sec Hope this helps :D
