  1. jesus, thats bloody cheap!
  2. The springs weaken over time on the ssqv's. You can get uprated ones from HKS which should solve the problem
  3. The 318D is gutless mate, and i mean REALLY gutless! Best bet mate is to go test drive the ones on your short list and make a decision from there. Jodie can certainly help with sorting out some beemers for you to try
  4. If you want someone to map your car, speak to JD, he should be able to sort you out
  5. if it rains it rains. it'll still be a good meet! :D
  6. good girl riobenson, no probs what so ever
  7. You should be able to hear the blow yourself. Have the down pipes (the first section of the exhaust that comes directly off the turbo) for uprated divorced downpipes. The manifolds are a nightmare to get to. I have been told that you can get to the bolts with the engine in, but im yet to have seen it myself. You can get to the bolts on the turbo down pipes without taking the engine out. I recently changed my downpipes for divorced ones, and after about 500 miles it started to blow on the drivers side. Ended up being a poor quality gasket. Changed to the cost of and hour and a halfs labour at Z-Tech in Swindon. No problems since. HTH Nick
  8. if i remember correctly, its an italian restaurant
  9. I take it by "See you next Sunday" your refering to the Goodwood Meet. Good on you mate if you are, if you could be so kind to stick your name on the list and say when you have completed the registration form. Well done with solving your fault as well Nick
  10. Guys and gals, I think it would be pretty sweet if we all turned up to this meet at the same time in convoy, and i personally think it would be nice to get there at the start of the meet so we get a nice position on the circuit. So the plan is to RVP at Sainsburys, Jnc of Porterfield way and Westhampnett Road from between 08:30 and 08:50. The car park will be nice and empty so we should have no problems finding each other. Here are a few maps to help find it. And for those who really struggle where the bus stop sign is in the middle of the map, is the entrance to the shops so ignore the (A) flaghttp://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=westhampnett+road+chichester&sll=51.283904,-0.954346&sspn=0.005167,0.013733&g=rg27+9nn&ie=UTF8&ll=50.843732,-0.758014&spn=0.002608,0.006866&z=17 This is how far away we will be from Goodwood itself, and the route we will take If any of you would like to change the time, say now or forever hold your peace. Finally, could those of you who have stated you are coming, please post a reply to say you have seen this. Cheers guys Nick
  11. Its not like hes buying a weekend toy si, he's getting something that will spend most of its life going up and down the countrys motorways and A roads, and im sorry bud, but the beemer is a much much better car to drive and be inside. Besides, i never set it was pretty :D
  12. Looks like its got some potential, only a few things left to make it a tidy example. Once youve sorted the lights, book yourself into a pro detailer. Itll cost a few quid for a full valet/paint correction, but honest to got, itll be worth every penny! Keep at it fella
  13. you mean the merc???
  14. When was the last time they made a good looking car???? I used to hate BMW's with a passion, but since jodie has been getting a company car, and you get over the look of the car, as a company car and something for spending alot of time in, they extremely competant cars. TBH bar the RS line up, i hate most VAG cars more than beemers. Anyway, you cant say nothing,... Jag X type, the WORST jag ever made!!!!!
  15. BMW 1 SERIES D HATCHBACK 123D M SPORT 2000 5dr MAN 2006 Its still a 2 litre diesel, but as apposed to the 120d, the 123d is a 2.0 twin turbo. We've had one for the last 4 months, and it flies!!! The m sport seats are much comfier than the se seats. If you wana come try one marco, jodie can sort one of for you
  16. Cheers dave, thats cleared that up. Dont suppose you know what offset he's running on the front?
  17. Cheers guys, i remember there was a thread that Si put on about what offset MclarenF1kids car was running, which i couldnt find for love nor money. The main reason i ask is that i have another photo of his car which shows he is running spacer (below) The thing is i dont know if this is a front or rear wheel. If it was a rear with a +38 offset running a 20 mil spacer, then im guessing a +18 with no spacer would be safe... And yes im running +18 on the fronts
  18. Happy Birthday Bud :duffer:
  19. Guys, Just in the process of making the final choice on my new wheels. Ive sorted the sizing on the front, but im struggling the figure out whats the most extreme offset i can go on the rear. The problem with the type of wheel im going for i only have 2 options for the 10 inch wide rear wheel. They are: +18 +38. This is the look im after: Now do i go for the +18 and run the risk that the offset is too aggressive, (or end up with an insanely stanced car) or do i play it safe and go for the +38 and just wack some spacers on to fill the gaps Your suggestions please
  20. as an option. Mines a series 4 and i dont have them. Think UK's had them though
  21. Keep at it mate. I will give up at some point in the near future, but at the moment, i still like a good ciggie after a meal
  22. dont suppose you noticed if my exhaust was kicking out any smoke when i floored it athene?
  23. what can i say, we made progress on the way home :D
