  1. Whiteline ARB’s are good I’ve had them before on a zed and I don’t think there are any others that come close although there are a very limited selection for zeds.
  2. My excellent recommendations for suspension are: Meister R coilovers as the level of adjustment is superb. Powertrix suspension arms with additional dust boots as this will prolong the life and new bushes too. It’s the set up I’m running with and I can tell you it is excellent having used others before like Driftworks and Japspeed arms which were just inferior in quality.
  3. Yes just for the Sunday thanks. I’ll pop in if I’m making good time.
  4. Hi is there a cost involved with this and what time will it be running until? I’m thinking I might be able to pop in on my way back from Hampshire? Marty
  5. Use a smoke tester to find the leak. No need for high pressure being charged into the system. Ash Powers is a infamous name in the world of zeds along with others like Nick Letsom and Kyle Puckett. Having been to a highly rated tuner recently they do not charge the system but use a smoke tester to find leaks just the easiest way to find a leak.
  6. Not sure what size they are in comparison with the Ashspec ones however I had to cut the back of my indicators off and switch my indicators to the sidelight bulb as the Ashspec massives are exactly as they are called.
  7. If anyone keeps up with Si`s work then you will know he is not just involved in zeds but has a full portfolio of other car retrims now. Im sure work on zeds maybe only makes up 10% of his work as the 300zx community is small in comparison to others. I can understand why he didnt renew in an age where social media is taking over and you do not need subscriptions to promote your business when social media and word of mouth will cast a far greater net. This is not intended to poke fingers at anyone i think it is just a realistic view of the world today and any sort of marketing intuition would understand this. Just because Si decided not to renew trader status does not mean he is closing down.
  8. Ive gone wingless on my zed Si have you seen it on FB?
  9. Check heater hoses on rear of engine it is a common leak from those
  10. Seems simple enough to me as a large number of people pay garages to do work on their zeds therefore imperfections could be passed stating it came that way from the supplier.
  11. Cat C High mileage UK spec 95% it has hidden rust or has had rust issues. overpriced IMO on the face of it by a fair amount. Looks like a trader therefore doubt they will come down to a realistic price. Avoid sadly IMO.
  12. Quality parts will get you there a lot quicker too.
  13. Great work Si and I know you shall continue on as the name is out there. I think I was the first shorty full retrim you did maybe first full zed?
  14. Maybe they are locked for editing
  15. As above I'm after reverting back to standard wings so looking for top condition on the bottom holes and screw threads at the front.
  16. Ah good I just came to watch the box it's my curfew time on probation
  17. Wow. There any many stories in the zed community it takes a few good year's I'm sure to know all the backgrounds and gripes that have happened. How are we ever meant to maintain a growing community.
  18. I just made a new boot floor last week as my battery is in the spare wheel well so sits a little higher. Used 18mm MDF and split it into 3 pieces. Covered in standard black audio trim material.
  19. There are a few zed specialists within the country like Lee Dent and Mikey Bean with Jimmer@powerzed being highly regarded too. There has been a whole history of spanner monkeys causing a lifetime of damage to Zeds and good garages that closed. These days though you have to really dig deep to find opinions and experiences as a lot don't speak up and are silenced.
  20. Last I saw Mark is more interested in Ford Focus than Zeds as his place is littered with them and doesn't he own one now after getting rid of his zed.
  21. i average around 130mph on the motorway in the Lexus such a good driving culture that people generally move out of your way when youre doing those kind of speeds plus its cuts down on driving time drastically. You do always get the Porches doing over 150 though so i dont sit in the outside lane. Oh this is in Germany as well  we do all right at high speeds here.
  22. I've had VR since the DK 1 and have a DK 2 now. The two leaders being VIVE and RIFT really depends on what you are using it for as to which is better. Read a lot of reviews but it's Rift for me. Occulus have been doing it a while now.
  23. Talking of rear arches here is my zed on some borrowed wheels and the rear arches I have gone with.
  24. So it cost £300 from a local firm in Bedford but that included new bolsters in expecting that was just the drivers bolster replaced.
