Always liked the look of the car, but 1 look under the bonnet and I thought, "No way"!! When I looked at seriously buying my 1st one it had a serious overheating problem, cracked cylinder head ! :( 6 months later, engine out, heads off, re-con heads, re-built and refitted. Engine started and a Turbo gone !! :( New turbos later and car going like a Train ! :hyper: None off the above would have been possible without the aid of members of this forum. :bow: :bow: Much respect due. :bow: Even at times when there was no ready answers, the encouragement alone made it worthwhile in the end ! :) Had problems cured with PC`s, my cat having kittens, cookery tips ? etc all through various members of this forum. Some of them even like a small glass of Malt Whisky now and then !! ;) My recently acquired Zed needs some TLC, and I am confident that with the help of this club, she will be a beauty once again. Hi, Sorry if this upsets anyone who is fed up answering the same old questions, but what are the pros and cons of de-catting a T/T ??????? Followed up on loads of old threads, and people seem split on whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Damaging the Turbo seals seems to be the most common cause for concern. Is any power gain noticeable ?? Does it make the exhaust system too loud ?? Obviously it would depend on the condition your Turbos were in, what exhaust system you had, etc etc. Any proof, or evidence to support either claims ?? Year of manufacture is also an issue for the mot. Just trying to see what the most popular thoughts are. Cheers in advance for any input. Alan.........

Hi, Wonder if any body can shed any light on this for me. :confused: Set the TPS at 0.42v. Removed the g/box sump, drained the oil, cleaned the filter and new oil fitted. Disconnected the battery to clear any stored codes. Gearbox was rebuilt a few years back, by a specialist. Now here comes the problem !! :rolleyes: When driving normally, and engine at normal temp, she changes gear at 3000rpm, and a little bit too severe for my liking. Also when picking away from lights or a junction, she seems to rev a bit higher than she seems to be moving !! If that makes sense ! :confused: Over the pit at work, I noticed there was a few square drive adjusters coming from the box. Are any of these for adjusting the brake bands ??? Is it possible to run a diagnostic test on the g/box ECM ?? Any info or links would be gratefully recieved. Wonder who will be the 1st to say; Time for a manual box !!! :tongue: Cheers guys, Alan......
