Just got my insurance renewal in today. Fully comp, legal cover, breakdown cover, 4000miles limited a year, car not garaged but parked up the drive ,no mention of a thatcham or otherwise, it is a classic and collectors policy, one named driver only,,, £247 !!! Bearing in mind its only used as a second car and I am rather old (ish) That doesnt sound too bad !! Unless any one can beat it ?? If so let me know, coz I have been with this company for a few years now and it might be worth shopping around. :dance: :dance:

I have spent a few hours looking through the various replies and suggestions, not all of them smart, but none the less answers, and wonder do I remove the cats or not???? If I remove them do I put in a straight throo pipe as a replacement, or put in an other sort of silencer, will it do detrimental harm to the turbo`s, would I be better removing the back boxes instead, or what ??? It is an 89 t/t and pretty bog standard(ish).

When changing the oil, would it be recommended to use an engine flush, then new oil, or no engine flush, or both and an additive , such as STP, or slick 50 etc ?? Its a t/t.

I currently have the exhaust system off my zed t/t. Would it be worthwhile removing the, cats and if so, what gains, if any would be achieved. :dance:

Hi guys, Just took delivery of my 1st ever 300zx t/t auto. Got it at a reasonable price as one (or 2) of the heads are cracked. Got a new pair of heads on the way and any advice or encouragement will be gratefully recieved !! Had Americans for the past 12 years and fancied a change, so while unfamiliar with the 300, got a reasonable idea what i`m up against. Any do`s or dont`s etc and tricky bits too look out for, let me know. Thanx in anticipation. Bigmincey...............
