Mr Timothy Turbo, My Zed has twin 80mm Stainless pipes at the rear, which is fairly standardish and not over the top. This same balloon comes across the petrol station forecourt and says; Way cool big man, how do you get the 2 exhausts to smoke at the same time ?? :xxx: My 1st thought was to think to meself, "oh s**t, my tubs" NO It was just the thought of smoke coming out of both pipes that attracted him !! :rolleyes: So thinking fast on my feet, I told him 1 exhaust was for the engine and the other was only for the turbos !! Aaahhh he says, thats why on Fast & Furious when they welly it, they always smoke !! :shock: His twin pipes dont look that good coz his "spare" pipe is only rivetted to the bumper and is not connected up, just there too "look the biz" he replies. Worst thing of all is he keeps flashing his lights and waving at me if I pass him in the street !! Even my mate asked me if I had a secret love child !! :mad: Like I said, he is a fanny !! John, The thing is, they are getting up-market nowadays !! Being in the motor trade like yourself, you see all the young lads in the workshop with their first car. ie Nova, Pug 106 or 306 etc, We have an 18 year old with a Corsa !! Great link Dave, puts it all to rest. I also use my inner brake lamps for fog lights. Wonder if there is any after market lamps that could be cut into the rear bumper without looking too amatuerish, DIY !! Alan.....

They also had a nice Prelude. It needed a wee bit doing to it though. Still the 18" rims and rubber it was sitting on was worth the selling price of £480. :) Arrived too late to secure a 99 Saxo for the bairn. It had been sitting behind another vehicle that was on fire and had a melted front bumper, 2 cracked lights and a broken screen (not part of the fire damage), 22,000mls, and it drove out for £360. :eek: Alan.......

There was a GTO with light front damage o/s, and a turbo scooby with vandalism paint damage. Gto went for £620 and scooby went for £1000 !! My local motor factors do a switch kit that comes illuminated, with a choice of press in coloured lenses, ie, green, orange, blue, red etc, Also in the kit are about 4 or 5 different emblems, ie, front fogs, rear fogs, heated rear screen, etc. Not too big or clumsy looking. Got mine underneath the clock. The beauty of the Zed is that when you take it for an mot, they are quite rare and things like that can be overlooked anyway. ;) Alan........

Not sure how it is in England, but up in Scotland, coz you have (or will) voluntarily applied for the course, it is not a formal charge so it is not an offence. Hence there is no points or any need to inform your insurance !! Eehh, you gotta pass the course tho. ;) Also there is no tea, coffee, biscuits, T shirts or awards. Illuminated switch is a compulsary item, doesnt matter which colour. SVA states it must be visible to the driver when steering wheel is set straight ahead, in a normal driving pattern, and must be within reach of the driver. Also it must be marked as a fog lamp switch by either word or character identification. Should not be able to be lit when the side lights are not on. Cheers, Alan.....
