  3. Sorry for the delay mate, just in from work !! 24hr call out this week ! :( Right then, Called in a favour and got one here, its from the V6, but fear not !! Pumps are the same, only the brackets are different. No probs coz the brackets just unbolt and youre V8 brackets should fit no problems !! ;) Will grab a bite to eat and stick it in a box tonight, get it posted tomorrow and with a bit of luck you should have it before the weekend. Bearing in mind the Xmas post !! Will need a wee clean up as its been sitting a while, but the car it came from was a runner, so it should still be ok. Still had ATF fluid in it when I removed it tonight. Till later, Alan.......

  7. Okey dokey mate. Apparently there are 2 types. 1 has a pressed on pulley and takes a wide belt, the other one has a tapered pulley, which has a large bolt on the front, and takes a normal "V" belt. My mate has the 2nd one that takes a normal "V" belt. If its any good to ya, let me know and I will arrange to get it down to you ASAP !! :) Alan.........
  8. Will make a few calls tomoz bud and get back to you. ;) Alan...........

Will put it off the road at the turn of the year and get stuck into all the wee niggles ! So expect more dumb ass questions soon ! Last one I had, I removed the engine, new head gaskets and turbos, refitted and she is still going strong, 2,500 miles later ! Must have done summit right. Thanks again, Alan....
  12. Whay hey !! :) Great to be a Zed owner again !! ;) Time to double the dose of Arthritis pills to loosen up the fingers then eh ?? Cheers mate ;) Alan.........
  13. Hi guys, Oil pressure seems a little low when engine is warm, going by the gauge. Believe these gauges are not the most reliable tho ?? Any way I can test the pressure ?? Inline gauge ? If so, wheres the best place to put it ?? Can I test the oil pressure sender ??? Again, if so, how ?? Gonna do an oil and filter change tomorrow. Lastly, on a score of 1 to 10, how hard is the oil pump to change ?? Probably an 11 !! ;) Cheers , Alan..............
  14. The guy is called "NODGE" and he is Insane !! ;) Stays in Newarthill, Motherwell. I believe that Sierra is running the Cossie Transmission. His next project is a Ford Focus with a Zed T/T in it !! :D Alan........
  15. Not until you have a good swatch at it, you realise its quite a piece of kit really ! I only noticed the centre bearing knacked, but there must be wear on the other Uni joints as well. You got me thinking now !! Alan......
  16. Hi Guys, Centre bearing appears to be gone on the Zed. :( Where do you recommend for a new one ? Nissan main dealer has quoted me £148+vat. Is that the norm ?? Would it be wise to source a 2nd hand prop shaft ?? Cheers, Alan..........
  17. Okeydokey then; 1. jack up and remove the diff cover. 2. spin the diff using the wheels very slowly until you see a small 8mm bolt. 3. Undo the bolt and carefully remove it, taking care not to drop anything inside. It is more of a locking pin than a bolt. 4. With this removed, it lets you push the halfshaft in towards the diff and you can then access the halfshaft locking clip. This will either be a "C" clip or an "S" clip depending on whether LSD or not. Again take care nothing falls out. You dont want planetery rings bouncing over the garage floor !! ;) 5. Would be a good idea to either photo, or make a note as to aid re-assembly at this stage. If it is the bearing that is noisy and it hasnt been used too long, you should be ok with a new bearing. Oversize bearings are available if the half shaft is slightly worn, but if it has been run for a while the halfshaft might be worn to excess and would need to be replaced. USAutomotive are good for parts: 01234 273155 Hope this helps mate and if its a load of rot, blame my mate, not me ! ;) Alan...........
  18. That makes sense mate ! ;) It is a skin after all. Will try a few things at the weekend and post back in case anybody is interested. Alan......
  19. In memory of a great man. Ronnie Barker RIP. -------------------------------------------------------- This was originally shown on BBC TV back in the seventies. Ronnie Barker could say all this without a snigger (though god knows how many takes). Irony is that they received not one complaint. The speed of delivery must have been too much for the whining herds. Try getting through it without converting the spoonerisms [and not wetting your pants] as you read ... -------------------------------------------------------- This is the story of Rindercella and her sugly isters. Rindercella and her sugly isters lived in a marge lansion. Rindercella worked very hard frubbing sloors, emptying poss pits, and shivelling shot. At the end of the day, she was knucking fackered. The sugly isters were right bugly astards. One was called Mary Hinge, and the other was called Betty Swallocks; they were really forrible huckers; they had fetty sweet and fetty swannies. The sugly isters had tickets to go to the ball, but the cotton runts would not let Rindercella go. Suddenly there was a bucking fang, and her gairy fodmother appeared. Her name was Shairy Hithole and she was a light rucking fesbian. She turned a pumpkin and six mite wice into a hucking cuge farriage with six dandy ronkeys who had buge hollocks and dig bicks The gairy fodmother told Rindercella to be back by dimnlight otherwise, there would be a cucking falamity. At the ball, Rindercella was dancing with the prandsome hince when suddenly the clock struck twelve. "Mist all chucking frighty!! said Rindercella, and she ran out tripping barse over ollocks, so dropping her slass glipper. The very next day the prandsome hince knocked on Rindercella's door and the sugly isters let him in. Suddenly, Betty Swallocks lifted her leg and let off a fig bart. "Who's fust jarted??" asked the prandsome hince. "Blame that fugly ucker over there!!" said Mary Hinge. When the stinking brown cloud had lifted, he tried the slass glipper on both the sugly isters without success and their feet stucking funk. Betty Swallocks was ducking fisgusted and gave the prandsome hince a knack in the kickers. This was not difficult as he had bucking fuge halls and a hig bard on. He tried the slass glipper on Rindercella and it fitted pucking ferfectly. Rindercella and the prandsome hince were married. The pransome hince lived his life in lucking fuxury, and Rindercella lived hers with a follen swanny.    Pure class !! :D Alan.............
  20. What model and year ?? Also is it front or rear axle you are working on ? Alan.........
  21. Think you have to remove the diff cover and then the wee bendy "S" shape retaining clip. Could be a million miles out tho !! Should know a man that knows, will make a few enquiries and get back to you, hopefully !! Alan........
