If you need a superduper sticky double sided tape that sticks anything to anything, give us a shout mate. We use stuff on refrigerated trailers that you need to use excessive heat to remove ! Can post you some over if you are stuck ! Alan...........

Warning Light..
Should just clip on. My last Zed had a few broken clips, so I was advised to put a small dab of Silicone or instant gasket on it to hold it in place till I got it fixed properly. Alan...

Warning Light..
It happened on my last Zed, intermittently, no warning, just when it felt like it. Started to happen a wee bit more often and I noticed a slight drop in performance at the same time. Long story short, turned out to be an intermittent coil pack. Changed the coil pack and it never happened again. Could stand to be corrected here, but I reckon on the times the coil pack didnt spark, unburnt fuel went into the cat and ignited there. Causing overheating. Could have been coincidence I suppose ?? Alan.

Take time and go through the small print in yout insurance documents. Found this paragraph in mine ! IF YOUR VEHICLE IS A TOTAL LOSS/BEYOND REPAIR: It is common practise for the third party insurer to arrange to inspect your vehicle. Your vehicle will then be assesed and you will be informed of its pre-accident market value, less the salvage value. This may be lower than your valuation placed for insurance purposes. You are only entitled to claim the pre-accident market value, less the salvage, which means its value at the time of the accident. If you do not agree with the valuation placed on your vehicle, it is your resposibility to provide evidence to support your own valuation. Regional trends may affect the valuation of your vehicle. We recommend you obtain local advertisements for similar vehicles, a description of your own vehicle conditionand any additional accessories purchased. It would also be helpfull to provide us with the original purchase receipt, current MOT and registration documents, with an indication of the registered mileage at the time of the accident. So matey, A nice letter from someone in authority indicating how good your car was, a few copies of Zeds from the Autotrader, a well known and respected publication !! :x: List all you accessories etc and it may get you a few sheckles more. A word of warning tho, make sure any accessories you list, the insurance know about already, if you know what I mean !! ;) Hope this helps coz I typed it all out with the one fooking finger !! :) Alan.........

Got an idea in my head....
One thing in your favour mate, you are a doo`er ! Some people talk about "doing" things, and some people, just "do" things ! You "do" it rather well ! :) Maybe would have to consider other applications ? Mid mounted MR2, Rover V8, coupled to a Renault 3.0ltr transverse box. If theres enough room, you can fit anything to anything, nearly ! Might be worth considering mate. Some people will spend ludicrous amounts of money to get what they want, and if you arent limited to nights and weekends, it will get done quicker ! Just my tuppence worth. Alan.............

Insurance offered me a deal.

A Write-off !!
She was insured under a Classic & Collectors policy, with the right to retain the salvage in the worse case scenario. So should be able to get her back. Already been on to them to make sure she is put in the lightest category for write offs there is. My mate bought his back and had to go to a VOSA testing station where they really went to town on it. Was a first class repair though, so it sailed through. Car still drives ok, and it is sitting up my drive, not in some dodgy yard that charges an arm and a leg for storage ! Alan...........
