  1. main thing is your alive, sorry to see your car in that way, hope it all sorts itself out for you,and the injured party :(
  2. come on arsenal :D
  3. as you say if you chip the car,all that will happen is you remove the limiter,so your kph dial will read off the scale :D the problem is fitting speedo convertors can cause more problems than its worth,it sometimes upsets the speed sensor, just keep your kph clocks and buy an aftermarket speed clock or use your gps, this is all i did i can read kph up to 180mph thats fine with me
  4. apexi is tested and proven to be better than all the competition fits TT or NA

IIRC danny on here sells the the kit with the correct fittings,so no messing about with male/female connectors ask danny@dta in the traders section
  6. timing belt and tensioner is probably the one of the most important things to get done aswell
  7. if your going for a thicker HG! as you say your increasing the chance of det but if you change the plug for a differant type, surely you can overcome the problem or at least reduce it does that make sense :D

    good luck rich
  9. will changing plug size make any differance? as if you go for a thicker gasket and your increasing the gap between each spark, thus decreasing the chance of detonation
  10. hmm not sure give mike mjp in the traders section a shout he should be able to source you one ok greg
  11. if you have chaned the pcv systym, then do a comp test and make sure all cylinders are within spec, also check oil leves are ok,and your not burning or loosing oil this isn't 100% accurate but these are general signs for differant problems blue smoke with boost [pcv or turbo] blue smoke from cold start[valve stem or rings] continuous blue smoke, sometimes severe[damaged ring lands, rings, pistons] greg
  12. sounds like valve stem oil seals,if only from cold start, what happens is once engine warms up they seat better hence why it may only smoke from cold if you have replaced all the pcvs and related hoses, then you can rule that out,for the cost of replacement its always worth to do that first! do you get any/much smoke on boost ?once car is warm
  13. is that from cold start or all the time!
  14. are you sure you have connected the rpm signal to the correct wire on the ECU,id double check you have wired in to the correct PIN ask chris @getGReddy in the traders section,he sells turbo timers etc,so may be able to help if something else is needed
  15. wtf you doin LOL  get a fine flat bladed screwdriver and knock it in with a hammer then peel them out,be careful not to damage the cam mating surface though, use old seal to drift new cam seal in place no need to strip engine surely :x:
  16. either side of the plenum, theres a black plug coming up of the actuator they should be plugged in,if there not do so Each side you have the hardpipe that enters the turbo elbow, there you have the wastegate actuators, pis of plug your looking for
  17. you can also get mir trim treatment and i use to use it on all the seals and trims keeps them nice and supple and stops them cracking, never had leaky targas though
  18. yes mate that will be your engine oil cooler unless you have an aftermarket oil cooler for the gearbox,in that case the oil would be a redish colour so yes your engine oil cooler mate
  19. safety boost is differant bud
  20. the clutch release bearing is gearbox out im afraid
  21. from front bumper to engine engine oil cooler air con radiator/condensor coolant radiator
  22. check your timing is correct and setup for 15degrees do you have an accurate aftermarket boost gauge,it could either be dicky or you may have a boost leak
  23. exactly :wack:
  24. very clean looking z
