  1. Where to start ! They don't have a chronic rust problem, its like any car. You need to rust proof it and take care of it. Do this and rust wont be a problem. I have never heard of alternators going easily, again its like any car parts wear out but no more so than any car. Hard to work on **** yeah ! There is a twin turbo v6 crammed into a small engine bay of course they are going to be a bugger to work on. Hard to tune **** no ! with a few minor mods and a Noz remap you are circa 420 bhp IIRC. and thats on all standard internals and turbos. If you buy new from Nissan they will cost a fortune in parts, but there are loads of suppliers who do OEM spec parts at a fraction of the cost, its no more expensive than any other older, high end sports car. I have driven a GTO TT and a Mk4 supra TT and they are chalk and cheese, I hated the GTO. It was slow, cumbersome and was just not a fun car to drive. The supra was miles better, comfortable, fast and nimble enough to chuck around. Hope this helps.
  2. Then there is no insurance on the package that way, and if it gets lost or damaged your screwed.
  3. tax when it gets to this country is 30% on top of the purchase price and shipping.
  4. replace the balancer or fit an after market pulley.
  5. contact driftworks directly, they are very friendly and will tell you everything you need to know.
  6. I take it when you remove the screws you fit bolts or cap screws ?
  7. very good, I liked that
  8. I have been looking for a project for a wee while now, juts something I can rip apart, tune and have some fun on track and seen this on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131205208513?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Before you tear me apart I would be ripping all the stupid kit and "styling" off of it ! I was wondering if someone can take a gander at it for me, just making sure its not a complete bodge before I stick a bid in. I think a 200+ bhp saxo would be a piss laugh, yes its ghey but still be fast as fook ! :D Beer tokens can be provided :) cheers
  9. yup, still worth bout 6-700 quid
  10. I thought it was a manual at first glance
  11. yeah did see that, would take ALOT of work to even bring that back to MOT standards. If he broke it then he might get the 1500 quid for it but as a whole I was thinking 900 quid
  12. nope, it wont without modding it. Just get a 300 one
  13. how much larger is it ? you don't want to overcool, your oil that why a lot of kits are thermostatically controlled.
  14. not all of them are rubbish though
  15. I would rather add an aftermarket one that's a lot cheaper
  16. jesus wept, my last zed didn't even cost that much !
  17. where are you getting the respray done ?
  18. If your rads in not bad condition just flush it out. I use steradent denture tablets. really gets the crap out the system !

  20. Welcome. TBH for sitting for 7 years its not really a restoration, just a freshen up. I have had to do ALOT more for a car that sat for a lot less !! BTW Mikey its R33 cables.
  21. the black one could be spectacular with some modifying. The white one has actually made me wet my self laughing.
  22. can I stick my name on the list for a copy ? I have been trying to get into shape for a couple months and eating healthier is doing its part, but ive got a set of love handles the entire female Olympic hockey team could hold onto :(
  23. should try for the 370z ones, 355mm discs and calipers that are only a few years old. Discs are cheap as well, from brake parts they are 100 quid a pair for stock
