Still Got Misfire
I always use the wire. I have one ready in my glovebox together with a little diagram reminding me which pins to bridge.

Which Petrol?????
I always used to use basic unleaded as using Super made no noticable difference to performance. However, after quite a lot of experimentation and detailed mpg monitoring I decided that using Optimax paid for itself in the extra mpg, therefore I now use it whenever possible. Having said that, I have now noticed that the car never seems to det at all when using Optimax, although by being careless/stupid (way too much throttle at low revs) then I can make it det occasionally with standard unleaded.

EBC brake pads
Well what he said is technically accurate - there is only one SE Nissan ! :D

EBC brake pads
Been using GreenStuff on my x-drilled Brembos for about a month now and they're OK - nothing more, nothing less. Will probably splash out on Porterfields when these are dead. Bleeding the system has made the biggest difference - have some real bite now.

how long you owned your zed?
Just over 4 years, 35,000 miles and over £5,000 on fuel alone, not to mention the 'other' odds'n'ends which add up !

Smashed SWB
Well you have to admit that if people 'read between the lines' it did look a bit suspect.

Exhaust
No holes last time I looked, but there was some rust on the underside of the silencers. I'll be there from about midday onwards. It's the The Royal Oak at Farnham Common on the A355. (not Slough at all). I'll pm you my mobile number.

Exhaust
I'm near Great Dunmow in Essex (not that far from Harlow) Could bring it to the Slough meet should you be going tomorrow. Condition is OK I think, wasn't blowing at all when it was removed a year ago and has been stored in my garage ever since.

DIY on Z's
Errr well, the major downside is running costs. Insurance, fuel, tyres, brakes, oil etc - You get the idea, deep pockets and long arms are required, understanding spouse and an available slush fund. Cheap to buy, cost a fortune to run ! If you can do your own servicing then it can ease the pain. Once you start down the mods route then you'd better start sending your bank manager Xmas and Valentine cards ! The most, most, most important thing is to buy a good one, not a heap of sh1te - it will almost certainly save you £££'s in the long run.

Yes they are

Sould I bother with an Auto TT - please help!!
I've had both and they're both good cars, it's all down to personal preference. There are times when I wish I still had the auto and there are times when I'm so pleased that I converted to manual. However, make no mistake about it, in order to get the best from an auto you have to learn how to drive it in just the same way as you had to lean to drive a manual.

DIY on Z's
In reality a car is a car and an engine is an engine, if you understand how it works then you're 90% of the way there. The difficulty with Zeds is getting to the bits (and there are usually 2 of everything!). Space under the bonnet is non-existent, getting the front of the car on ramps is nigh impossible. Interms of complexity there's not much really, the HICAS is unusual but aside from that there's not much you wouldn't see on a new car these days. Restrictions: Easy stuff, exhaust, air intake, ECU and level of boost - all 'bolt-on' jobbies and will give a significant power increase, maybe 25%+
