  1. Had the same problem on my Xantia. Exteme violence was required ! Both the stupid little screws holding the discs in place had seized, refused to budge with the impact driver and had to be drilled out, then the discs had seized to the hubs which took major input from the lump hammer to shift. Dunno how much damage I did to the bearings !
  2. How about my crappy Xantia Estate or 'er indoors 350Z ?
  3. WOW ! Nuff said ...
  4. Would've been about 20:30 I should think ...

Well that didn't turn out very well, did it. :(

Is that the sort of pint without a head, or the sort that overflows the glass and fills your shoes ? :D
  9. Macca, Have we sorted the Official agreement with Opie yet ? Message I sent you from them the other day suggested that we hadn't.
  10. Will have the guts of an Abit BP6 (twin processor) up for grabs soon. It's far from new, but twin processor machines are pretty good. It's actually twin 366mHz, overclocked to 550mHz and it absolutely smokes a single processor 1.2GHz machine that I have. Just in the process of building a twin processor 1.8GHz Xeon with RAID etc.
  11. No subscription for GPS (Global Positioning System) as it belongs to the US military, but your mate may have been referring to GPRS, which is a mobile Internet connection, in which case yes there is. Approx £15 - £40 per month
  12. Too right ! Don't try to breach your company security policies - you'll get sacked ! PS I have to say that - it's my job ! ;)
  13. Ta I'll sumarise and make it sticky once complete.

  18. A little bit of research indicates that there is some competition for this type of service :- http://www.msnger.com http://www.msn2go.com Not tried 'em though ...
  19. Hmm, naughty. I suspect what it actually does is relay your traffic through permitted http to their servers which act as a proxy. Once it gets popular I guess it will be on the auto-block lists used on the firewalls by many companies.
  20. Looks a little dodgy to me, purely because you're entering you MSN/Hotmail passport credentials into a 3rd party site ! This is bad. Also, the signed security certificates are invalid on that site. This is also bad, because it means there is no chain of trust and you cannot establish with whom you are commincating. Note this relates to the intermediary sevrer/site, not the end party. Anyway, who knows what they're doing with all that data ???? The standard version works though my company firewall, but the secure one doesn't, not worked out why yet.
  21. GPRS is General Packet Radio Service (I think) which means, at the moment, approx 56Kbit connection whilst on the move. A mobile phone using a single channel would only get 9.6kbit, so it's handy for collecting email, browsing the web etc.
  22. Turned out to be a kinked vacumn pipe to the sender, after the Blitz controller, so panic over. So the SBC-iD gave accurate results but the external gauge didn't.
  23. My trendy Blitz boost gauge has started behaving badly. It the Racing Meter DC series with the electronic stepping motor and the separate sender unit that can also be connected to water temp and oil pressure (I think) gauges. Is there anyone nearby with the same model that I could do a bit of swapping over bits to see which part has croaked ? Pretty please....
  24. Hmmm, I get the impression the poll options have been modified ! LOL
