What about a raffle at Billing ?
  2. I'm told that Nissan sell them. All of mine have blown at some time in the past now and they've all been replaced with Halfords w5w jobbies. Yeah, sure they are less bright, but I don't think it really matters much.
  3. If you car has been chipped then the limiter will probably have been removed, or if you have a km/h-mph converter then the limiter will have been moved from 180km/h to 180mph. A UK spec car is limited to 155mph as standard.
  4. Been mostly driving my crappy Xantia recently and it does 35mpg..... RESULT !
  5. ... late last Friday afternoon. L300 summat, UK spec I think. Gave you a stupid grin and was about to wave when I remembered I was in the Xantia (which as far as I can tell is completely invisible to the rest of the world).
  6. Check the multiblock connectors around/behind the footwell fusebox. I had a similar problem a while back and it just turned out to be a loose connection.
  7. Oh my God - shoot me now !
  8. The Beatles were summat special, but I must admit I never really got the Stones thing. Admittedly they did knock out a few good tunes, but certainly not 40 years worth !
  9. Did mine the other weekend, it's easy, just follow the instructions here :- http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/tech/blitz/blitz.htm
  10. Snake oil ! :D IIRC it's 3.0 without a filter change and 3.4 with. But whichever you do, double and triple check the level afterwards as you don't want to under or overfill.
  11. Lol, there's plenty of flex in a targa top chassis - try jacking up one corner and then opening and closing the doors or hatch !
  12. Except that this is for the clutch ! ;)
  13. LOL good point, but as the forum actually allows us to vote I just wanted to be open and honest. Anyway, why shouldn't we be allowed to vote - you'll always see politicians out voting for themselves !
  14. For the record, I abstained. Being a member of the committee an' all ....
  15. As standard the hose is short. Have a gander at this page in the online manual :- http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/cl/005.gif It's the one at the bottom. Macca, if you don't have any of the solid hosing then you will need a longer flexible hose with different fittings.
  16. I believe that not all auto boxes have a drain plug, maybe it depends upon the year.
  17. Jus install a kickstart and you won't need it ! ;)
  18. Who's the guy they used to do the burnout test, with the professors etc. mark someone from Ireland right ? Perhaps he should lend the stig his car ....
  19. Hey, must be great to be 18 for the 'first' time ! LOL :)
  20. That engine was as near as dammit standard when it first left SE, all the bits were (allegedly) piled up in his bedroom. Dunno whether they ever got fitted, but if so I doubt that SE had anything more to do with it.
  21. You need to make them compete for their business by ONLY buying from the cheapest garage in the area. If that means long queues then so be it. Only then will the others put down their prices in order to get some business. Unfortunately, there are two problems with this, firstly they make bugger all profit anyway due to the excessive government taxes and secondly they operate and effective cartel by synchronising their prices throughout geographic areas - we're screwed !
  22. LOL, Bacofoil on the cheap ! ;)
  23. You can make them yourself easily if you buy the hose and ends. I used to get all my bits from Harris Performance in Hertford and made all my own brake hoses etc.
