Latest version of FAST
Looks like it's working for me, although I had to go to work and leave it running this morning. BTW if you're leeching over the uplink of my Satellite connection then good luck !

Virus Warning
I think the default setting for XP is to run the auto-update process locally, it then notifies you whether there are updates available and will even download automatically ready for install if you configure it that way - maybe he's done that already. Anyway, you should also run something like Adaware, which will remove all the dodgy cookies from the dodgy webshites you've been visiting ! Also, make sure the firewall s/w is up to date - most the the decent ones have auto-update buttons these days.

Virus Warning
Yeah, always run a properly configured firewall, always have up-to-date virus protection (and I mean daily, not occasionally), have your machine use WindowsUpdate and install ALL the security patches, don't forget the Microsoft Office updates (if you have it), install something like Ad-Aware or Pest Patrol, never open email attachments from people you don't recognise and even if you do recognise them don't open .exe's, .zip's, .scr's etc etc without scanning them first. Oh, and don't run M$ Windows, but even that doesn't guarantee excemption from problems these days .... :( Happy days ! PTU question
It's a good idea and I'm sure it helps, but having seen the inside of the PTU's I can help thinking that vibration must play a part in the failure too.

PTU question
I acquired a a 2nd hand one but it didn't have the bracket. I just need to knock one up out of a bit of steel/ally when I have some spare time - shouldn't be difficult.

cat light on dash
This can sometimes be down to a faulty coil connector - the plug fails to fire & the unburnt fuel catches light in the cat, causing the overheat light to come on.

A huge favor needed :(
I've got some front discs you could use.

Auto oil cooler HELP PLEASE
The standard import oil cooler is virtually non-existent, anything is an improvement and if it's the cooler I'm thinking of then it will be about a 20 fold improvement.

clutch issues help
Sometimes getting the last bit of air out the slave cylinder can be a pain. I remove the slave cylinder, turn it round so the bleed nipple is at the highest point, clamp the piston/rod in place, bleed it again and then re-install it.

cost for a respray.
There is a midnight blue and also a blue pearl graphite, (sometimes called Saphire Blue), colour code TK3, which is what mine, PaulC's and AndrewG's are - a fairly rare and beautiful colour ! ;)

clutch issues help
Yeah, you can easily bleed the clutch, just by jacking up the drivers side of the car. Instructions are on my site and also in the online manual.

Indoor karting Event
Posted on behalf of Steve Mercer Hi guys/girls. we are trying to organise a indoor karting event for sometime next month. it will take place at Go karting for fun at Gosport/Fareham. The format would be to have a team endurance race which consists of a race briefing, practice session and a 120 minute race including pit stops. The price would be £150 per team and each team needs 5-6 drivers, so if your team has 5 drivers the cost would be £30 each. The winning team is the one that has completed the most laps in the 120 min session and trophies and undrinkable sparkling wine(mmm) will be awarded to the top 3 teams. Food and drink can be provided if need be as there is a café there (burgers, chips etc) This invite is getting posted on the other owners club web sites and is open to anyone who has a modified/import car etc .we think it would be a really good idea to get everyone together so we can see each others cars, have a chat/laugh and try out some of our driving skills without getting caught or crashing .lol Weve had a good response from people so far but I cant book a date/time until I can gauge numbers so if you want to get a team together and come please let me know asap and hopefully we can get this sorted. it should be a good time. Also if people interested could let me know wether they would prefer to do it at the weekend or a weekday evening that would be great. Heres some directions to the karting center:- http://www.gokartingforfun.com/gosport_ml.html and heres the track layout:- http://www.gokartingforfun.com/gosport_tl.html cheers steve mercer stevemerceruk @ yahoo.com 07793 540886

flyers?
No, but it has been suggested a number of times. All we need is someone with artistic tendencies to create a .pdf file, then people can print as many as they need. Any arty volunteers out there ?
