Always wear a watch, plus I always insist that it's correct ! There is nothing worse than clocks etc being 'a few minutes fast so I'm never late' etc I HATE that, there is only one time and it's correct. My PC's synch using NTP and so do my network equipment and I have two atomic synched clocks in the house. Ooooh - starting to sound a bit obsessed now ..... I also have several watches, from my nice, pukka, 'everyday' Tag F1 to a few old cheapy things for messing around under the car etc. And they're all correct to within a couple of seconds (or in the bin). (And if anyone wants their Z clock fixed then let me know ;))

You really need a ConZult/Consult on the car at the time that the problem occurs. Then you can monitor the TPS voltage or the idle valve % opening etc in order to identify the problem. Andy

I think that a dog owner is responsible for it's behaviour, whereas the same does not apply to cats (for the reason stated above). So, if your dog is off it's lead, runs out in front of a car and causes and accident - you are liable.

But the Japs are masters of 'just in time' manufacturing - you'd be surprised how close together the manufacturing dates are for many parts of the car. Nonetheless, given a chassis number I can tell you the actual month of manufacture and often a few other details too. If anyone is interested then drop me a PM with their full chassis number.

The gearing limits the manuals to about 186mph, depending upon engine revs etc. The auto for the same revs would do about 200, but obviously only if it has the power to pull it. Both numbers are pretty unrealistic for the vast majority of cars though.

No, it is abrasive, but it's not harsh. Works well on aluminium, stainless and chrome though (does anyone still have chrome these days or did that go out in the 70's ?) LOL :D

Stacks of people have the Mongoose and they're pretty good. Full stainless, look stock-ish, but with a nice rumble that isn't too intrusive on motorways etc.

Get the old hose removed and take to to a place that specialises in making them up. The pukka Nissan part costs £££'s, but you should be able to get one made for about £30-ish
