Stupid f?!*ing Autobox
Autobox just gave up again She has done 5k since last rebuid last October. Still under guarantee so Autobox specialist will hopefully sort it under guarantee, although I have to get the box out and transport it 150 miles. This is my second auto Z , I have so far gone through 4 auto rebuilds in 4 years. I eventually converted my other Z to manual but kept my SWB Auto as when its working it is a nice Auto. These auto's seem too tempremental for my liking and mechanics try to avoid them like the plague, there is only 4 places in Ireland that do Autos and they all happen to be in Dublin. Bummer when you live at the other side of the country. Seems brake bands ar gone this time, She is slipping when being floored. Similar to clutch going on manual car. Boll%$x

What's the max speed you've had out of your zed?
165 on Motorway outside swansea (Just had it delimitted would have been a shame not to try it out once) that was back in 2001. SWB TT series 3. Series 3 spoiler may help at those speeds. She felt very solid

Dodgy 95
Trish, its on http://WWW.CBG.ie Theres quite a few for sale. We will have to organise an Irish meet in the next month or two. The car is a Jap import not a UK import. I have a jap import Jan 1994 and it does have the hi spoiler. I thought all Jap cars after end of 93 would be series 3 and anything in 95 is a series 5 with the hi spoiler. Curious???

Dodgy 95
Something fishy about this car. For sale in Dublin. Asking rediculous money (€19500) Import 1995 Twin Turbo Auto 27,000K Why is the rear spoiler a series1 or series 2 car? Surely this has been falsely registered originally and is a 1989 to 1993 model

Ultimate Z
Just got on to them Seems there can be a wait if the wieight is over a certain limit, they use surface mail as oppossed to airmail. Can take up to 1 Month to get to europe but should have them soon. The exchange rate is just too good at the moment to order locally

The diagram dosent seem to be to scale for the part I am looking for I think its either of the Circled Part#'s can anyone confirm Thanks Roy

Any pics of this bit of kit and how much?

Novastop
Just tried the Novastop and it worked. You have to do a full coolant change and add a small bottle of the mix in between filling. Leave the car then running for 1 hr. (It took 1 hr 10 for me, before the cabin cleared up). It is supposed to be used especially for things like the heater matrix when difficult to get at. Local mechanic recommended it as he has been using it on Citroens for some time with great success. Its only just on the market.

Novastop
My heater matrix problem is now so bad it looks like my car is on fire when driving. Both windows are down and shes pumping out loads of evaporated antifreeze. I have been advised to try something called Novastop . It works by thickening up the coolant. Its supposed to work and dosent damage the internals like rad weld. Any thoughts?

am i unique
Mines a SWB TT auto series 3 Slicktop (White) seems one of the rarest around and faster than my UK Manual (Red)

Fogging Front Windscreen
Does anyone have a pic of where the heater matrix is located and is it the driver or passenger footwell that wets up? Where do the leaks usually come from is it the rad itself?

Fogging Front Windscreen
Strange one this, My air con stopped working about 2 weeks ago, car has just turned 10 years old, I presume she needs to be regassed. Anyway even with 10degrees set on, the dial hot air seems to come from vents to windscreen. This hottish air is fogging the windscreen making it impossible to see until I turn on air con full and 40 degrees on screen and drive with both windows down.(too cold this time of year) I presume whats happening is petrol fumes are being sent to windscreen. There is a slight smell but nothing much. Whats the solution? Re-gas the cylinders and hope the lower temp air prevents fumes from vapourising or go through fuel line fuel pressure dampner, FPR and find if I have a leak, again no real smell of petrol?? Thanks Roy
