Quick tech guessing game
thing is when the wrong injectors are fitted the engine will never run right. Would the colour coding issue (ie. Red = NA - Brown = Turbo) be standard across the board? Only reason I ask, these are the NISMO 740's fitted to my TT and they are quite obviously 'Red' :sweatdrop:

JWT vs Z1 DOOLZ
Just a quick one fellas' This one has been bothering me for some time now (My appologies if this has been discussed before and for the poor quality pics) Previously I ran an APEXi induction kit on my 'Z', fitted with a single APEXi filter. It was quite obvious that it was an improvement over the stock box filter However, I've now opted for a twin JWT pop charger set up from CZP; currently fitted to a Z1 MOTORSPORT DOOLZ twin intake pipe **NOTE: The AFM is not required as I will be running a MAP sensor, to that end the AFM will be replaced with another open flow pipe from JWT (similar to the pipe already fitted to the opposite side) The full JWT pop charger kit comes complete with a JWT hard piping kit for each filter My question is this: Each of the JWT hard pipes measure approx 72mm at the widest end and approx 55mm at the narrowest end however the Z1 DOOLZ twin pipe only measures approx 72mm at the centre point where the two intaks merge into one Would this indicate that a single JWT hard pipe fitted to 'each' filter enables a greater volume of air to pass through at any one time, as opposed to the Z1 DOOLZ twin pipe?

Driftworks Tension Rods?
I replaced the set of KSPORT tension rods that I'd already fitted to my 'Z' with DRIFTWORKS ones. They both seem very similar quality, but having said that I don't know if the KSPORT kit has been put through such rigorous testing and scrutiny on a regular bases. Easy to fit and a hell of a lot better than stock, just steer clear of ebay tat mate! If you think about it, £130 isn't too bad when you consider the consequences of a cheap set failing (just for the sake of saving a couple of quid) DRIFTWORKS kit is hammered week in and week out. The UK Drift community are very openly critical of kit that doesn't work but the DRIFTWORKS stuff is held in very high regard; it has to be 'cos Phil Morrison's name and business rides on the fact of it being top quality Hope that helps mate Give them a bell mate and ask to speak to 'KAM' +44 (0) 845 86 92 555 http://www.driftworks.com/

Z32 tt carbon drift build
Well that was a pain in the arse! 19 year old rusted split pin wasn't playing the game Waiting on SPL to get there back order of tie rod ends in (the stock ones on the 'Z' are not looking too clever!) eventually managed to get it most of the way out but then the fooker' snapped off eventually managed to get it out in 3 pieces a bit of weapon cleaning oil helped loosen the bolt and there she is the DRIFTWORKS lower arm took a bit of working out as it didn't come with fitting instructions. It's only test fitted for now until I can confirm with DRIFTWORKS that it's ftted properly Now just the front left and both rear lower arms to get cracking on with

Multiple Zed Owners
For me personally: 1991 Z32 TT (UK spec) is/was my daily driver (now an ongoing track build) 1990 Z32 TT (Import) donor vehicle initially intended as the base for the Help For Heroes track car (hidden rust problem means it can only be a donor now) 1989 Z31 Turbo (UK spec) donor engine/leather interior 1988 Z31 NA (UK spec) the new base for the Help For Heroes track car (already stripped ready for SPARCO seat & roll cage to go in and new desert tan paint job) 1986 Z31 NA (UK spec) was to be restored to former glory however now likely to be sold to create a bit of space. Will be fitting the leather interior from the Z31 Turbo (just been contacted by the original owner on the DRIFTWORKS forum, 8 years after he sold it, I'll ask him if he's interested) 1995/92 600bhp MAZDA RX7 FD3S (Import) *got ripped off for £20k+ ongoing legal battle* 1995 TOYOTA HILUX SURF 3.0ltr TD (Import) daily work horse 1996 TOYOTA GRANVIA 3.0ltr TD (Import) 90% complete camper conversion to be sold on completion 1999 NISSAN WINGROAD 1.4ltr AUTO (Import) *Wifes daily runabout, only WINGROAD in the UK*

Z32 tt carbon drift build
I was considering the option of injection through the filter/s based on research that 'Stav' (REDLINE magazine staff member and regular on the DRIFTWORKS forum) had conducted previously with his track prepped RX7 FC. He did point out that he had been advised against this by several people, however none of them had actually proven or disproven it as a viable method of charge cooling. He fitted it and reported that it worked well. However, before I go with the water/methanol setup I'm going to do a lot more research; obviously a turbo'd rotary and a twin turbo'd V6 are very different engine types so a bit more digging around on US forums is required I think before I proceed. Nitrous is obviously on the cards for the near future so will be looking for working examples for guidance

thieving litle c**t
Two sides to every story: (Setting the scene) Young lad gets home, walks through the front door and is confronted by his mother, who is wondering why on earth her lovely little boy has been beaten black and blue. MOTHER: "My God, Son, what the hell has happened to you, you were only gone for ten minutes?" BOY: "Well mum, you wouldn't believe it. I left the house ten minutes ago to go and get Auntie Maureene her cough medicine from the pharmacy and figured that I'd take the short cut through the lorry yard" MOTHER: "And?" BOY: "Well I could feel that I was getting a chill and thought that I might have caught Auntie Maureene's cold. I didn't want my cough to get any worse so I pulled up my hood to keep warm" MOTHER: "Go on" BOY: "Well I was walking through the lorry yard and I noticed that someones lock had broken and the back door had swung open. It was flapping around in the wind and I thought to myself 'someone could get hurt if that swung open and they walked into it', so I stopped and closed it, thinking that I was doing my good deed for the day" MOTHER: "And your face son, what happened to your face????" BOY: "Well after closing the door on the lorry, I carried on walking towards the main gate when suddenly a big hairy arsed lorry driver jumped out of his cab and......................"

V-Power...
I had a similar conversation with my next door neighbour when he got back from WRC New Zealand a few weeks back. He works for one of the worldwide race fuel suppliers to WRC and F1 and has been involved in this line of work for a long time. There are apparently several factors that will have an effect on the quality of the fuel that you fill up with, regardless of being 95RON/97RON or pre packed race fuel. Obviously initial source is key (I'll go into this a little more shortly) The fuel quality decreases every time that it is moved from one location to another (ie. from the delivery lorry to the forecourt storage tank and from the storage tank to your car). Fuel will also have a tendency to degrade over a very short period of time or through significant fluctuations in temperature. If you fill up with V-POWER that has been sat in the storage tank for a significant amount of time it can be very similar grade to standard forecourt fuel purchased elsewhere, if the standard fuel has just been delivered. His advise was to fill up at a petrol station if you can see that they've just taken a delivery. With regards to the fuel source being important, he told me of an occassion in the US where a UK based motorsport company was running several expensive purpose built race cars in the US. The cars were built in the UK and shipped over for the racing season. The penny pinching sponsors informed my neighbours company that they didn't require the sealed fuel that they would normally use as the cost of shipping it etc was expensive and that they had sourced a 'race' fuel supplier in the US that was significantly cheaper. despite being advised against using this, the company insisted on using the locally purchased race fuel. Within the week they were back in contact with the UK fuel supplier asking how long it would take to get a whole seasons worth of UK race fuel across to them, and that cost was not an issue. On their first run out of the cars several of the engines had literally melted their pistons. The reason was poor quality fuel, great for tractor engine powered American V8's but absolutely disasterous when used with a fine tuned engine that was mapped for high quality purposely 'brewed' UK race fuel. and that was the US equivalent of race fuel. Japan however I believe have a slightly better quality of standard fuel than the UK. If anybody is interested I've been offered race fuel for my 'Z' at a guaranteed compatative price. I'll be running it from now on for track days etc. so if anybody would like further details let me know and I'll get some figures off him. the race fuel is delivered in sealed containers

Z32 tt carbon drift build
Just a screw fixing......damn those Americans, getting my hopes up. I was kinda' hoping that it was for a special NASCAR inspired (not yet released in the UK) "JWT NITROUS-CO2-WATER-NITRO METHANOL-FLUX CAPACITOR-DIRECT INJECTION SYSTEM"that bumps up your output to 1200bhp at the push of a button........but just a screw you say :headvswal:headvswal :headvswal:headvswal:headvswal:headvswal BUGGER, now I'm disappointed!

Z32 tt carbon drift build
Ok, I've started reading through the AEM instructions for fitting the AFR and they seem pretty straight forward, but...... the kit comes with various options for the gauge face (AIR FUEL RATIO) and (LAMBDA) Which would be the best 'face' to fit and in very basic terms, why? (AIR FUEL RATIO) (LAMBDA RATIO) also Does anybody have a clue what the small metal screw/nozzle is for on top of each of the JWT POP CHARGER filters? I was thinking, maybe it's for a water/methanol injection system?????

EbaySelling - What a pain.
You can get some really good deals on ebay but over the last few years it just seems to have become a minefield of scamming c**ts!!! Average age of a z32 owner???
I know what you mean mate I'm in a bit of a dilemma, 'cos I'm Welsh....my wifes Welsh.....mine and her parents are Welsh.......my eldest son is Welsh......but my two youngest daughters were born in Hereford, so are technically English, and they know it!!! As Wales are more likely to win the womens singles dominoes championships than ever get anywhere near the World Cup, I figured that I might as well teach the girls to support 'their' own. England haven't exactly been inspiring to date but at least they're through to the last 16 If anything; as you say, it keeps the roads clear for a bit!

Z32 tt carbon drift build
With the planned fmic fitted to the Z32 it's very unlikely that I'll be able to keep the current twin JWT pop charger setup as they are.......however, I'm looking at ways to do away with the Z1 DOOLZ kit/JWT pipes etc and relocate the individual filters further back within the engine bay. Space is obviously an issue but does anybody know of any reason why the individual filters couldn't be relocated. I'll be running a MAP sensor with AEM EMS as opposed to stock AFM
