What is it with paypal????
But I'm guessing that most people (and correct me if I'm wrong here) tend to use a card of some description for Paypal transactions anyway, so they're covered against that kind of fraud by the card company. I understand that people need to be re-assured that everything is being done to combat internet fraud, however I don't believe in this instance that it's not just a way of Paypal making money under a different guise of fraud prevention. Cheques and bank transfers from now on I think maybe that'll save my poor ears from taking a pounding in the future

It was news to me as well bud to say that the 'long haired general senior' is less than impressed with my advice is an understatement!

What is it with paypal????
Not sure when this came into effect but it can't be right surely? My mother in law is new to the whole ebay thing, she has just sold something on ebay for £729.99, now I told her to be prepared for Paypal to take there fee. which of course Paypal have already done! She's now got an account balance of £716.99 OK, so it was to be expected but I can't ever remember having to wait 21 days for the money to be available? It's not even as if she can buy things using her Paypal account as the £716 is going to be just sat in limbo for the next 21 days. and judging by Paypal's explaination, until she sells another 19 items the same 21 day waiting period will apply per listing I've been using Paypal since it took over from e-cheques or whatever it was that ebay used to support, and I can't ever remember having to wait that long for funds to clear. After the 21 days she will want to withdraw the money to her current account but that'll take an additional 5 working days.....so effectively, her first experience of ebay resulted in her potentially not seeing a penny of her money until a month after she made her first sale????? That's just wrong!!!

Spl tie rod ends & tein inners???
I'm still waiting on confirmation that SPL have now recieved their most recent batch of SPL V5 tie rod ends, however....... could somebody clarify something for me? SPL offer two types of 'inner' a) OEM inner and b) TEIN Z33 inner We offer 2 types of inner tie rods for use with our outer tie rod ends, please select the correct one for your application: For drift use: Tein Z33 inner tie rods. These beefy tie rods are supplied with steering angle spacers for increased steering angle at full lock. For grip or street use: OEM Z32 inner tie rods. These tie rods are OEM replacement and supplied with locking plates for a OEM install. Note: These inner tie rods work with our SPL outer tie rod ends only. http://splparts.com/store/product-info.php?pid118.html I've heard a few people comment that the TEIN parts are in fact OEM parts with a larger spacer? I have a new set of OEM inners on another Z32 that I could swap over, however my Z is obviously going to take some abuse on track, are the OEM up to much or would the TEIN option be more suitable?

Z32 tt carbon drift build
Not much to report in the way of progress other than, the 99 spec rear lights that were kindly supplied by ZEE a few weeks back, will be fitted very shortly. These will replace the ZCENTRE lights currently fitted and I've been working my way through the mass of seemingly endless pipework in the engine bay. A lot of it either isn't connected to anything or has simply been plugged with a bolt? any suggestions on what's what?

Z32 tt carbon drift build
^^^^^Nice top tip there bud, cheers I test fitted these basically using trial and error, as all of my DW kit didn't come with instructions Not that it would usually be a problem but as the DW parts look very different to OEM and with the parts also being generic to other models (GTS-t etc), it took me a while to find the little plastic bags of 'extras' tucked away at the bottom of the boxes (for the Z32 specific fitment) Looking forward to eventually getting the Z on track for a run out so will definately give you a shout beforehand Obviously going to be tight to get it ready for the end of this summer but I'm confident so fingers crossed, the Z will be firing very soon I know that 'Monster' will be well up for a blast on track, he's just got a few jobs to get stuck into on the Skyline

Ebay Z with 500 brake i think not
Is there any reason why this wouldn't be a 500bhp car though (other than the lack of spec list details in the guys ad)? I'm just playing devils advocate here by the way but unless you're the guy with the cash in his pocket, who's turned up for a viewing, possibly looking to hand over $ for this guy's Z, then I'm pretty certain that the seller isn't arsed if anyone else believes that his car is or isn't running 500 big ones! It's not an FRP monstrosity in luminous lime green, it actually looks quite tidy in my oppinion and if you genuinely do get 500 brake for that price then that's a bargain surely? I know a lot of sleepers around Hereford that look like they couldn't put down a third of what they're actually capable of like I said, devils advocate

What do you reckon to this Z?
I'm sure this was posted up on DW about a week or so back; if it is the same 'Z' then the guy who own's it lives in the States if I remember correctly Got to appreciate the work involved, very distinct US influance

Is this gatso incorrectly sighted???
Yeah I knew the GATSO was there and have known about it for years, however, I have to somehow explain to the local plod, why my truck descided to drive past their GATSO slightly quicker than they would have liked (when it was supposed to have been parked up in Newport), whilst I was away with work??? I can prove where I was but I can't prove who was driving; though I have a fair idea

Is this gatso incorrectly sighted???
I've been aware of this GATSO sighted on the A338 for many years now (as you approach the Garrison town of Tidworth (Wiltshire) Pennings Road) I used to pass it frequently However I am wondering: "Is this GATSO incorrectly sighted?" I was led to believe that a GATSO had to be sighted on a 400m straight stretch of road (amongst several other criteria: see below) The official Site location criteria for fixed cameras is as follows: Site is at least 400 metres in length. Number of injury accidents in the preceding 3 years is 8 or more. Number of fatal/serious accidents is 5 or more. Number of loss of control accidents is 3 or more. Number of excessive speed in respect of conditions or limit accidents is 3 or more. 85 percentile speed greater than the ACPO guidelines (35MPH in a 30MPH zone). Site conditions are suitable. No other engineering measures appropriate, for example speed humps. This GATSO is however: (a) sighted on a blind bend (b) beyond a series of left and right hand bends © beyond the brow of a hill (d) covering a straight stretch of road measuring approximately 100m (e) downhill (f) with the 30mph speed limit sign on the left hand side of the road partially obscured by a lampost (The approach to Tidworth is uphill and is a national speed limit area of 60mph) (At the top of the hill you enter an area of dead ground) *Note: The red car in this picture is oncoming, therefore on the right hand side of the road, emphasising the initial left hand bend in dead ground. The 4x4 at the top of the picture is also oncoming traffic, emphasising the right hand bend exiting the dead ground. The GATSO is sighted beyond the brow of the hill, behind the oncoming 4x4) (The 30mph speed limit sign on the left hand side of the road is situated approximately 2 feet behind a lampost and is partially obscured from view) (Picture taken from opposite direction: The GATSO is sighted beyond the brow of the hill on a bend) (The white road markings are displayed, however the straight stretch of road only measures approximately 100m and flows into an immediate left hand bend) (Downhill) I'll post up the Google Earth and Street View link later as my PC is playing up Any thoughts on this one?

Stolen - important fao mods
Here's the guy on DW that I was talking to you about mate 'cr33ch' had a set of 18" ROTA's stolen off his car from a garage in Bath The thieves turned up with a load of jacks from a scrappy and had the wheels away http://www.driftworks.com/forum/members/19641.html Another guy 'RETRODAN' had his rims stolen and they later turned up on ebay. A guy had bought them and was then advised that they were stolen and belonged to 'RETRODAN', so the guy offered them back. They had been bought from the town near to where they were stolen from. No doubt there's some pikey travelling fooker' just up the road from you with a nice new set of rims on his ma's caravan!

?
I was obviously under the false impression that on a public forum you were able to ask questions (ie are a business that you may consider using in the near future actually still trading?) or inform people as to how you lost a lot of money through a bad deal or ask people why the first two threads were deleted. That's three threads deleted in the space of an hour (I'm guessing this'll be the fourth?) Now I don't post threats, I don't cause arguments, I don't use excessively bad language or slag people off on the public forum, I'm just building a 'Z' I'm assuming that if I get banned (I'm still trying to figure out why that may be by the way) would mean that I've paid a £20 subscription fee for a grand total of nothing? PM encroachment is illegal without good reason by the way
